Geboren in den wilden 70ern, früh begeistert von Depeche Mode und Kraftwerk, entdeckt er dann in einer Nacht vor knapp 20 Jahren Techno für sich, bleibt an den vibes der Szene kleben und entdeckt ziemlich schnell den Wunsch selbst mitzugestalten. Und heute? In München, Augsburg, Frankfurt aM spielend locker unterwegs, als ehemaliger Club-Besitzer sowieso, überzeugt Andreas Rauscher längst international; sei es London, Griechenland, Thailand, Tschechien oder unzähligen Open Airs und Festival-Locations.

Wir hatten Andi im Frühjahr auf einer Party und mir klingt der Satz noch in der Ohren „Ich leg jetzt mal auf … sag halt Bescheid wenn jemand anderes auflegen will … an sonst lege ich einfach weiter auf“. Einfach nicht zu stoppen …

Hi there. I had a great gig at Kater Blau a few weeks ago, so I'm sharing the more interesting part of my set with you. 

After writing up the tracklist I realized how this set is a mix of new and old. The first half hour is mostly tunes from 2006 to 2016. It wasn't something I intended. Usually on stage, I'm consciously thinking about sectioning my set by mood, intensity, BPM, and texture...but perhaps unconsciously I was also thinking about grouping music together by age...or maybe it was just a coincidence. Regardless, I now have a new way to think about building an arc of a set, which is kind of fun.

I thought it all came together alright, so I hope you enjoy the recording as much as I enjoyed playing.

3000Grad Podcast No.37 by Green Lake Project

In 1929, Hungarian author Frigyes Karinthy wrote the short story “Chains”. A minor detail, if you think about it. The thing is though that with this small piece Karinthy became the first proponent of the six degrees of separation concept. His story was about a game, a thought experiment aimed at proving that people living on the Earth are much closer to each other than is commonly believed. In other words, all of us on this planet are connected, maybe only several social connections away from each other. If six people were necessary to make the right connection in the 20th century, only one or two may be needed today, given the technologies we have, while this project, it seems, is a whole different dimension where everyone knows everyone else right from the beginning. Take @schleppgeist’s case, for instance. Before we even wrote to him, he had already heard about this project from his friends, one of whom had recorded a mix for us, another had played at one of our events, while a third one was going to play at an upcoming event. After some time, when we were organizing online events during the pandemic, the agent of another artist suggested that we hold a live event with Sebastian. Souq festival was also happening around that time, and everyone knew Sebastian, so he managed to record his performance for the festival. We have no idea who needs these long-ass texts, but we’ll at least remember that all of us are connected to each other and that this project is about those connections and much more.
