Challenge COMPLETE! This is the last song of my 2013 challenge of 12 songs.
Being the last song and being that I'm making it in December, it seemed a great idea to make a Christmas song. Also I wanted to do something a bit more light hearted, so I wrote it about Die Hard, from the perspective of John McClane. I even rap, oo-err!

The first track I've properly released in about a year or two. Based on a memory of a dream of a feeling, which sounds really pretentious but it's true.

As usual I wrote/played/mixed everything.

Despotic ruler, but I'm the only one here

But then a coup in my sleep
A faceless angel, a feeling calmer than love
Just neurones firing or influence from above?
And either way I'm in love.

This is a song inspired by a woman I dreamed about, whom I love so much it hurts to say (probably my Mother, who gave herself the middle name "Maria").  It is at once, both, terrifyingly sad and uplifting, denoted by the the verse and chorus which are, alternately, dense and melancholy and then simple and positive. Semi-classical.
