The chants "tracklist" (from the original recordings' notes):
- SUNG DUO. The woman starts this piece dancing; her many rapid small jumps make her bell belt jingle. The man then enters the lists, singing another "song". Only the beat is common to both.
- ANENT OF NUA TSANKU - tobacco woman. Femal puberty is marked by this ritual, during which the young initiate drinks tobacco juice. During the drunkenness which follows, the singer's mother taught her these specific anent.
- TUNA ANENT - anent of the waterfall. These two anent retrace the male initiation which takes place at puberty. Fasting, the repeated absorption of tobacco juice and the drinking of datura juice serve as a prelude to a bath in the waterfall where Autram, the strength dispenser, lives. The unique and premonitory vision which young men can acquire during this ritual is materialised by an encounter with Arutam and a message he delivers to them.
- ANENT FOR SHAKAIM. Shakaim is a mythical figure representing the working man. The woman evokes both the working qualities of her husband and her privileged relationship with Nunkui.
- TUMANK SOLO - followed by an anent chant. 
- ANENT TO NUNKUI. This is the "credo" of the Shuar woman: sung publicly, this anent signals that his owner wants to affirm her quality as a good farmer. . The intention of this anent is not secret, since it belongs to an outfit common to all women.

Anent: "to think, to love, to remember". The anent are instruments of propriatorey action which use the sound medium.
Heterophony: "coexistence of several sound emissions which don't try to be together but rather to affirm their individuality". With the Shuar one can note a tendency to a principle of superposition rather than unification.

The Shuar make a lot of music but speak little of it: for example, there is no word in shuar which could be equivalent to "music". 
The Shuar don't require silence before singing or playing.

The Shuar people are an indigenous people of Ecuador and Peru. They are members of the Jivaroan peoples, who are Amazonian tribes living at the headwaters of the Marañón River.

Alfa Romero’s combination of hardware synthesizers and modular systems creates a powerful and organic sound which translates to a unique aural feeling.
