Squad, we are so frickin back, and we actually have time to sit down and write this. We are in salt lake right now, covered in cane's dipping sauce, waiting to play a show tonight. Really unfortunate fact, there's no salt in this fuckin lake. both super pissed rn. what's cheering us up tho, is the fact that this remix is currently blowing out the speaker of our hotel tv while im blowing out an.....pause. tmi. there have been 6 noise complaints since we walked in to this room 30 minutes ago. whats crazy is 6 times this dude has come by to complain, and not once has he said anything about rancid smell of the glorious chicken finger shampoo we are dripping in. tbh i dont even think hes complaining about the noise, rather he is jealous of the stench. he wants to be one with the chicken, an ally with the sauce. if you're reading this brother, please come back. Acclaimed music collective Jazzanova release their brand new single ‘Rain Makes The River’ from their up- coming album The Pool. Featuring the haunting vocals of Scottish singer Rachel Sermanni, the propulsive track o ers an intriguing snapshot of the band’s musical deve- lopments since the release of their last original album 10 years ago. 
This most emotive of singles – co-written with Sermanni and recorded, sampled, played, and programmed in Jazzanova’s Berlin studio – begins with moody drums and coarse hits that set a sombre mood. Heavy piano chords join the fray and add to a sense of forlornness. Then Sermanni’s crystal clear vocals cut through it all; soft and delicate they create an honest intimacy – singing about staying with your loved one through tough times. And suddenly the absorbing downbeat stops sounding so heavy and becomes the solid foundation for a united strength, accentuated with bright musical touches that leave a lasting impression. 
Over the past decade the German group, consisting of Alexander Barck, Claas Brieler, Jürgen von Knoblauch, Stefan Leisering and Axel Reinemer, have worked on a multitude of projects. They’ve toured live with the band, hosted radio shows, DJed, remixed tracks by Hugh Ma- sekela, Joe Bataan, Aron Ottignon, Malika Ayane (and many more), curated their labels Sonar Kollektiv and Notes On A Journey and recorded a live studio sessions album of some of their most beloved work. It’s been 23 years since they first got together, and this new album draws from all those years of experience while exploring new territories. The whole makes a brilliant teaser of what we can expect from the forthcoming album.

Hello!!! Good 【﻿ｄａｙ】 it is Nah Tea and I've spend a hundred years writing a song that I finally feel is finished. It's also the hardest thing to play I've ever written, as it pretty much changes key every line at some points. I hope you enjoy it and it takes you to another place (with your permission)

It's taken a long time to get this song into a version I'm halfway happy with. I am over halfway happy with this one :) More songs of a similar vein are in the works, and I'm glad to write songs that don't immediately sound like anything else.

I've had the first two chords to this song for a couple of years but really wanted to do it justice by creating something that meant a lot to me. A friend of mine also told me to keep it, and i valued his musical opinion. 

So, I didnt want to use the first, second, or third thing that came to my head that i would have used to build the song. But i played and played it and the entirety of the song came from my heart at one point and not my head. 

I link the name "Power Through", to my heart. To power through the hurricane life hurls me into. Power Through what anyone tells me to do or how they think i should be living. Power Through and do what you want.

Fergus: In an awning above one of Lithuanias thriving underground music bars (Amadeus) resides a small record shop providing the locals with new releases and secondhand dance vinyl. Though quite modest in the grand scheme of things, the music found in the shop is of a high quality and although it was closed when I visited to play at Amadeus last March I could spot a bunch of the good stuff lining the walls. Things came full circle when Erikas, who works at Discotag, came to visit Glasgow lately and we spent some time together. While listening to some albums at my place he recognised a Lithuanian LP on Melodia that counts as one of my favourite instrumental folk albums. The LP was Ženklo Grupė's 'Ženklas' and in a fitting choice he decided to open this forecast with a track from it. The mix was recorded by Erikas and Arnas and if you feel like supporting a grassroots DIY shop doing things for the right reason then please check their catalogue via the links below.
