Out of Detroit, Techno and then New Beat in Belgium and just before Trance, there was a very hedonist and pure european rave culture. The breakbeats (early hardcore) were also played at Rave parties were in between 1988 - 1995 and raves back then often had 4-5 rooms with very eclectic music that ranged from acid house to trance, techno, house, breaks and ambient. By 1995, Oldschool Raves ended and movies like Trainspotting were released. Raves combined New Beat, Acid House and early Techno like the seminal track Q from Mental cube (aka FSOL).
