Lil Jabba's best known as someone who contorts footwork while remaining dedicated to its principles, but on 47 he claws Atlanta hip-hop, grime and more into his weird world. He is nothing short of a genius - it's time for the world to stop sleeping.

Bristol based dance destroyer and all round sheller ‘OH91’ has teamed up with Manchester's ‘Trapped Audio’ to bring you TAR001, the 'Talkin' About EP’.  After releases on ‘Coyote Records’ and ‘Durkle Disco’ securing him as a mainstay in the grime scene, this EP sees him branch out with the A1) title track 'Talkin' About' Featuring vocals from Kwam which are built around its clean punchy two step drums and brash wobbly bassline. This is rave destroying Grime at its finest. The B1) will be the instrumental to ‘Talkin' About’, originally named 'Mojito' by OH91. The B2) is ‘Renegade’, which brings a classic Bristol grime sound with its high pitched strings and skippy drums at the forefront of the madness. ‘Renegade’ adds another aspect of grime to this brilliantly curated EP.

chrono trigger ost - secret of the forest (leon edit)

I've recently been playing with a streamlined portable modular set up for coming up with quick ideas, improvising and playing live. I've been posting a few snippets to Instagram, but thought I'd share one of the full tracks too. Not 100% happy with the set up yet, but it's not far off. This took about an hour to patch together, so I'm still a bit slower than what I'd like to get to for live use. Recording was done live straight to a stereo track (although output from the modular is only mono currently), so is also a bit rough. The photo is from a few days ago, so it's not the exact patch or set up, but not far off. I've ended up using digital oscillators for compactness and flexibility, but most of the rest is analogue (filters, envelopes, etc). Sequencing is all off the dual business card sequencer at the minute, but I might try and squeeze another one in somewhere (maybe the prizma from my other case). Robaux SWT16 is controlling beats and also other envelopes and Pam's New Workout is controlling the show with various clocks. Anyway, hope you like it. :)
