NY has had a lot of exciting clubs now, but after 9/11 there was a lengthy period of time when they were few and far between.

This is when Meatpacking District’s APT reigned supreme. It was small, hard to find (by design) and hard to get in (also by design). It had a diverse & open-minded music policy that attracted an amazing parade of DJ’s. Everyone from DJ Premier to Theo Parrish to James Murphy to Stacey Pullen played there over it’s 9 year run.

APT also had a wild Sunday night party that sometimes went until noon on Monday. The mix here is from that party: it’s DJ Duane’s late night guest set, recorded sometime in 2005, and it still sounds amazing.

DJ Duane aka Duane Harriott(who is best known for his re-edits under Bim Marx & Devin Dare monikers, the popular Negroclash party & his long-running WFMU residency) keeps it deep & pumping, selecting mostly house with occasional acid & techno vibes mixed in - just what one needs 4am on a Sunday night 😎

Introducing Anónima, a dynamic force in Atlanta’s underground club scene. With an unwavering passion for the early foundations of electronic music, they have shaped the soundscape with their magnetic sets since 2015.

Utilizing DJing as a tool to facilitate space for others, Anónima founded Unruly in 2021; a DIY techno party that serves to celebrate, but above all else, amplify Black and Brown artists.

Anónima's journey has led a residency at The Soundtable (RIP), Banshee, and performed at acclaimed venues such as Elsewhere, Nowadays, Jupiter Disco, Trans Pecos, and Domicile Miami. Their aim is to provide a haven on the dance floor, where boundaries dissolve. Anónima's sets are more than just sonic experiments; they are catalysts for unabashed joy.

HRD is back! And we’re SO happy to kick things off with HKI hero Coco Roza. She joined us one rainy Friday in October, jumped in the booth & delivered this impeccable 4-hour musical journey.

Roza aka The Nordic Mother Coco Ninja @roosa-coco-ninja is a Ballroom performer, photographer & DJ. She has been active in the Ballroom scene for more than a decade, walking and winning grand prizes around the world.

Around 2018, walking & throwing events led Roza to deejaying. She is known for bass-heavy ballroom selections, but also effortless genre-hopping.

Her unique experience is on full display on this 4-hour mix, as she takes us from smooth R&B territory to dancehall to amapiano to house to ballroom & beyond. Never a dull moment here!
