Carolina born Songwriter Will West moved to Oregon in 2002.  He cut his teeth in the Portland open mic scene for the first few years before connecting with local musician & producer Rob Stroup in 2006. They worked at 8 Ball Studio on a collection of Will’s original songs that became the album “Shine” which was released in 2007.  Songs were featured on KINK fm101.9 and KNRK 94.7 in the Portland area.  

He performs live with a collection of fine area musicians called The Friendly Strangers.  They perform in various Trios, Quartets and large band ensembles.  
Will West has released 4 studio albums.  Plus various limited press EP's and Live Mixes.

I started playing bass in 1992 right after getting into Primus. I've played in various pop punk, ska, metal, alternative and experimental bands.
Started playing drums around 1994 focusing on punk, funk and hip hop drumming.
I've been working with electronic music since I got my first sequencer with my tax return back in 1996. Since then I've dabbled into all sorts of midi hardware and software and analog recording tools.
I got my first set of turntables at the turn of the century and what you see here is what has come of it all. Sort of a jack of all trades at this point but my main love is the bass!!!
