The 3rd Edition of Outdoor Chronicles happened yet for another EOY party on the 18.12.2022; this time themed Muddy Wonderland.

"Multiverse theory suggests that our universe, with all its hundreds of billions of galaxies and almost countless stars, spanning tens of billions of light-years, may not be the only one. Instead, there may be an entirely different universe, distantly separated from ours — and another, and another. Indeed, there may be an infinity of universes, all with their own laws of physics, their own collections of stars and galaxies (if stars and galaxies can exist in those universes), and maybe even their own intelligent civilizations."

Multiverse Escapade - Hrik DJ Set [Outdoor Chronicles 3 - Muddy Wonderland]

According to the Abhinaya Darpanam, the Sangitaratnakara and other medieval treatises, dance is divided into three distinct categories, that is, natya, nritya and nritta.

Natya

Natya corresponds to drama. Natya means dramatic representation or drama with speech, music and dancing. According to Abhinaya Darpanam,
‘Naatyam tannaatakam chava pujyam purvakathaayutam‘,
that is Natya or Nataka which has some traditional story for its theme is an adorable (art).

Nritya

Nritya corresponds to the mime performed to the song. That is in other words, it is the Interpretative dance. The vaachikaabhinaya of natya where the actors themselves use speech, is replaced by the music and song which accompanies dance.
According to Abhinaya Darpanam,
‘Rasabhaavavyanjanaadiyuktam nruttamitiryate, etannnrutyam mahaaraajsabhaayaam kalpayet sadaa‘,
that is, that dance which relates to Sentiment (rasa) and Psychological Staes (bhaava) is called nritya.
 
Nritta

Nritta corresponds to pure dance steps performed rhythmically. Here the movements of the body do not convey any mood or meaning and its purpose is just creating beauty by making various patterns, lines in space and time.
According to Abhinaya Darpanam, ‘Bhaavabhinayaheenam tu nrittmityabhdheeyate‘,
that is, that dance which does not relate to any Psychological State (bhaava) is called nritta.

This Sahman Records episode brings you SOLITARY SHELL with this brand new live set with a lot of unreleased tracks. The set is a travel in his universe, starting with some darker tracks to end in a more luminos and uplifting vibe. His melodic style is spiced up with many psychedelic elements and a powerful driving energy, which can catch the attention of any listener, wether they want to dance under the sunset or lay down and let their mind wander off. Solitary Shell is a Psytrance live act created by Raphaël from Lyon, France. In love with this music since his experiences at Hadra in 2014 and Freedom Festival, he started to mix and produce to show people his vision of the genre. His style can be described as powerful Full-On which both uses elements from the more melodic and daytime side of psytrance as well as the more psychedelic, aggressive night-time side. He wants people to live the same transcendental experiences that you can witness during summer festivals.

DJing since 2018, Hrik has been influenced by music since his teenage years during which he covered few tracks as vocalist. Back then it was all about Metal genre and a new journey began when he was enticed into Psytrance. Having performed in some private local events, Hrik's sets are more about Progressive Psytrance but his style varies from Psy-chill to Full-on. 

Being the co-founder of Fuzzy Concept group which has been promoting Psytrance and Techno in the underground scene in Mauritius, Hrik hosted several events featuring international artists such as Zyce, Egomorph & Freedom Fighters along local DJs.
