Hey everyone!

It's been a long time since I last shared a new set on my page. I've been lazy with recording for years sorry about that! 😅

But... I'm back! With a brand new set, recorded live at the mighty Origin Festival in South Africa.

Origin Festival is a beast a 21 years old mother ship of psychedelic culture.
 I’ve only felt this  kind of magic at Ozora, Boom, and Own Spirit. 
OMG It truly happened there!

Big shoutout to Regan & Monique for bringing me in, and massive thanks to the entire crew who made my stay unforgettable Hendrick, Cara, Josh, Miky Dread, and all the others (sorry if I forgot some names! :(  ).
And a very  Special praise to my friends Sam & Geof, my guides through this incredible African journey.

So many amazing people I hope to meet you all again soon. 
It was an honor to feel like a true member of your tribe. One thing is for sure: I will be back!

 This mix is NEKTARIOS' presentation of his new album "Retina" on Sangoma Records, released in February 2025 with some added favourites thrown in. NEKTARIOS is about experimentation and sound design that pushes the boundaries of the norm—funky, deep, and driving, always striving to move the envelope forward and seeking new ways of expression. Nihilistic love acknowledges that love has no cosmic significance or transcendent purpose. The universe remains indifferent to our emotional connections, and these bonds hold no objective value beyond what we choose to assign them. However, this very absence of predetermined meaning creates a space for freedom and authenticity in relationships.

It confronts temporality directly. Rather than seeking eternal bonds or transcendent connections that survive death, it acknowledges relationships as necessarily finite. This recognition of temporal limitation doesn't diminish love but potentially intensifies it through an awareness of its precious transience.

At its most profound, nihilistic love doesn't eliminate meaning but relocates it—from cosmic or divine sources to the human capacity for creation and commitment in the face of ultimate meaninglessness.

The following Blue Hour Sounds are coming to us with Flooting Grooves, Pearce van der Merwe's marvels at 8pm CET on 5 December Saturday on the Chill channel. For some extra mind and soul food seek The Prophet for one of those special audioillustrated interviews as we are waiting for the new Flooting Grooves album.

Flooting Grooves is Pearce van der Merwe, born in South Africa, based Istanbul, Turkey at the moment. Heavily influenced by groups like Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles, Motorpsycho and Jethro Tull, his production is a fusion of live elements with flute, guitar and percussion with electronica, resulting in a melting pot of pleasurable psychedelia to groove the body and sooth the soul! His music ranges from very chilled downtempo right up to more progressive beatz. Live performances are enhanced by the use of silver flute and computer fx.

DJ'ng since 2018, Hrik’s connection to music runs much deeper, beginning in his early teenage years when he explored his vocal abilities by covering metal tracks. While rooted in the raw energy of metal, his path took a transformative turn when he discovered Psytrance, opening the door to a whole new dimension.

Over the years, Hrik has performed at various private events, crafting sets that lean towards Progressive Psytrance while also weaving through Psy-chill and Full-on styles. His DJ sets are much structured but dynamic as well and always driven by emotion and rhythm.

As the co-founder of Fuzzy Concept, a collective championing the underground Psytrance and Techno scene in Mauritius, Hrik has played a pivotal role in organizing events that featured international acts like Zyce, Egomorph, and Freedom Fighters alongside local talents.

Now based in Western Central Europe as of 2025, Hrik continues his musical odyssey, bringing his unique blend of mixing and immersive storytelling to new audiences.
