Waking up late 
Saturday morning so it’s slow
Coffee and croissant, and water
Breakfast in the lobby
I run in the rain 
Late for the Archeological Park 
The wind takes me away
And as the sea floods the harbour

I climb to the top of the hill
From here I see the Thyrrenian Sea
The waves crash on the rocks
And down there Vulcano smokes
It's May in the Aeolian Islands
But it feels like Christmastime again

Locked in my hotel
Boats can’t come out, the sea is rough
I just moved my flight
I’ll probably have to do it again
Back home is endangered
Hope all my friends are doing alright
So I write this song
Lying on this bed
Wasting this afternoon
While my thoughts keep

Mumbling, and the Acropolis 
Overlooks the city of Lipari
The waves crash on the rocks 
And down there Vulcano smokes
