In this installment of Sound Advice, we are joined by Jeremy Zucker and Chelsea Cutler. After the former reached out to the latter via SoundCloud DMs, the singer-songwriters decided to write and record music together. Over the years, their long-distance collaboration has taken them out of their inboxes and into studios that inform their atmospheric, tender sound. Fresh off releasing their latest album ‘brent iii,’ we caught up with the indie pop duo to discuss how they’ve grown as artists, how they create the cozy sonic vibe of the ‘brent’ universe, and different strategies for connecting with fans, collaborators and record labels using SoundCloud.
