More Powerful Thank You Can Possibly Imagine - came into existence through long periods of listening, practice and improvisation. Again, this piece is not accompanied by a music score. After 3 days of recording, listening, re-listening, mixing and mastering, and re-recording the piece is finally available. This piece is most definitely influenced by the work of composer Nikita Koshkin, especially his works created for guitar. 

The piece features the nylon string guitar and harp. You will hear a beat in the background with the guitar in the foreground. The title of the piece was of course Star Wars inspired. Enjoy the music.

More Powerful Than You Can Possibly Imagine

At The Turn Of The Tide features the guitar and is accompanied by cello and a bit of synth. The piece include a subtle beat in the background but is not overpowering. The title again was inspired by Lord of the Rings written by JRR Tolkien. The piece looks at change, when new opportunities and challenges come across our path. The music considers other ways of creating and solving the mysteries of life around us.

Nouveau features the nylon string guitar. The piece fits with the previous guitar music I created. 

Nouveau looks at new beginnings and the possibilities life has to offer us. Our state of mind is on so many occasions dependent on our perception and in this piece the combination of old and new style of creating music features such instances.

Echoes of early 90's techno combined with pulsating reeses and boundary-less experimentation underpinned by DNB rhythms.

SUB:DOMAIN + J Roll - Scorched Earth

Disordered Visions - is a new experimental piece of music which was clearly influenced by the work of Louis Andriessen. Have a listen to his work "Hoketus" which has similar qualities. 

Sean (H.S. Botha) created this work with the sole purpose of playing around with the phrygian mode and reverb mixed with string instruments. The two main instruments in this piece include the guitar and double bass. Every sound in this piece was intentional with the purpose of working and colouring outside of the contemporary/popular sphere of music.

Disordered Visions

"I Am The Master" is along the same vein of music than "More Powerful Than You Could Imagine". The piece features the guitar and unbeknownst to me influenced by my love for Star Wars. This is exactly the reason why the title of the piece is in red on the cover art. 

It is not only the guitar used in this piece. The shamisen is included together with synth sounds and sampling. 

Alternative modes are used to enhance the quality and texture of the music. The sounds are meant to provoke, immerse and challenge the mind. The guitar truly helps to push dissonance and intrigue. I can't wait to get home and play the instrument again.
