A song by my sister and i about our childhood:

Our house, our home was just a shell
where life became a living hell
where the child just smiled, but couldn’t feel
Because of the scars too deep to heal

Just covered up the blackened eye

This piece is for string and Woodwind, and made using mostly Spitfire Woodwinds and CSS.  I think of it as a rhapsody for orchestra with a slightly eastern ring to it,  and it ends accelerando in the manner of a gallop
