The Crooked Axis String Quartet was formed in early 2010 as a side-project featuring members of Number Nine Experiment, Zamal Bash, and Red Haze. In 2011 the band shorten its name to The Crooked Axis.

I Face Off nascono nell' estate 2009 ad Orbassano (TO).
I Face Off sono composti da Valerio (voce), Luca (batteria), Federico (chitarra), Lorenzo (chitarra) e Angelo (basso), hanno iniziato suonando cover e poi si sono dedicati alla composizione di pezzi propri.
Nel novembre 2011 vincono il concorso Ritmika 2011 di Moncalieri su 85 band partecipanti, il premio vinto gli permette di registrare un EP di 3 brani in uno studio di registrazione professionale.
Nell' aprile 2012 vengono selezionati insieme ad altre 69 band su tutta Italia per partecipare al Music Village a Merine (Lecce), una settimana che va dal 26 agosto al 1 settembre. 
In questa settimana saranno presenti produttori discografici (Carosello Records, Warner Music, EMI, Universal, MTV, ecc...) davanti a cui si esibiranno e potranno fargli ascoltare il proprio EP.

Instrumental four piece Locus Control offers complex rhythms and adventurous melodies combined in dynamic song structures. The band's tight playing delivers musical firework. The powerful and crisp sound make the subtle details stand out adding depth to the songs. A wide array of influences, from prog-rock via metal to stoner are thoughtfully combined to a unique sound. 

The sound of The Malex Kings is the result of the work of , Max Malon, guitarist born in Marseille (France) and Alex Pellicer, music producer from Zaragoza (Spain). All the tracks were recorded and self edited in a home studio.

Urban concepts" is about the evolution of american music and its developement in urban societies. Blues, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop and even Hard Rock are the generes boarded in this album. From John Lee Hooker to Jimi Hendrix, and nedless to say James Brown, this project is also a tribute to the greatest artists, the innovators, the genius of music.

The script is based on a trail through the city of Chicago, looking for its citizens, the habits of its people and its music. It's a long way which will lead us to the mythical route 66 to take up a new trip to other adventures...

"Welcome to Chicago EP" is the presentation of what will be later released as an LP called "Urban Concepts". 

This EP is a tribute to blues. Chicago, the “Windy City” is the most important point of reference when talking about blues. But its influence does not end with this style, rock n roll, funky, soul, jazz and even hip-hop are a significant part of the urban musical culture of this city. This mixing of cultural and musical trends is clearly reflected in the album Urban Concepts. 

While recording, several guitars were used, two Fender (Stratocaster American standard and Stratocaster american vintage commemorative 1957) and one Gibson (Les Paul American standard). The amplifiers used were Marshall plexi 1959 slp, Mesa Boogie Lonestar and Vox ac30. Samples and different effects (fuzz, reverb, echo, etc... ) were made with a Korg Electribe SX.

We released our debut EP 'Hog Roast in Hell' in September 2011.   We are currently working on our 2nd EP, titled 'Generation Of Swine' which is due for release later in the year.
