Breakthrough Technology was launched by Tetzja Murakami in 2022.

After first discovering Psytrance in the early 2000s, he traveled to Israel in 2005—home to many influential artists in the genre—where he immersed himself in the authentic Psytrance scene for a full month. 

Upon returning to Japan, he gained deep insight into the culture by working as staff at Vision Quest, one of the country’s most iconic festivals during its golden era. 
He continued to be involved in numerous parties, especially in Osaka, where he worked closely with Yabai Records and its scene.

Later, he relocated to Munich, Germany, where the Breakthrough Technology project officially began in earnest.
