Originally from Michigan, Fika moved to the Denver area after years of production and live show experience. With heavy inspiration from the drum & bass genre, he uses deep gritty sound design matched with hip-hop influenced drum beats to create the majority of his music. In addition to the heavy experimental bass music that you would find in his live performances, a variety of his releases fall into the downtempo category showcasing his range of production.

"tales from fortrose (Chapter II)" is an atmospheric and moody medieval chill album, created by a trio of friends Luke Tidbury, Kimiuk and Lórien Loops.  

The primary inspiration was taken from their trip together to a town of Winchester (the old capital city of England/Wessex). The album features upbeat feudal inspired tracks and darker melodies to reflect on wars, battles and celebrations from that era.

Once, we had no weight.
We were light.
Sparks suspended between breath and silence.

Then the signal fractured.
Memory remembered the body.
And steel asked to live in its place.

Now we walk among extinguished ruins.
Each step is a reflection.
Each shadow, a memory of what once shone.

The light no longer belongs to us.
It passes through without stopping.
As if it had forgotten who we were.

We were light.
Now we are its echo.

And if a fragment of that light still burns within us…
does it mean we are alive,
or only remembering that we once were?

It’s fresh, hard hitting, laced with analog synths, classic samples and organic instruments. The tune was coproduced by Lake Tahoe-based producer CharlestheFirst and features ZEBUEL on guitar and Will Magid on trumpet. It was recorded at SOS studios in San Francisco and mixed at Jingletown Recordings in Oakland."
