Funkyjaws Music kicks off a new series here with a focus on hefty disco jams. Bodgan RA is first up to flex his muscle with 'Taboo' which is full of bright synth lines and gorgeous vocal harmonies best to some lush guitar riffs. 'Buffalo' then brings some old-school energy with chopped-up beats and scratching that eventually unravel into a feel-good 80s disco sound. The joyous vibes flow on freely through 'La Battaglia' with its cosmic guitar leads, horns and raw claps then 'Detective' shuts down with the most steamy cut of the lot complete with brilliant funky undertones and expressive synth solos.

The Patchouli Brothers are best friends bound together by oddities. They share an affinity for the  esoteric side of disco, house, and all other forms of soulful dance music. They hold down a  residency at Beam Me Up, a disco night in Toronto & Montreal, and have had releases on some of their favourite labels like Defected, Nervous, Razor-n-Tape, Soundway, GAMM, Soul Clap, Star 
Creature, Pleasure of Love & Basic Fingers. We are so stoked to have them join us here for their first release on Sosilly and our seventh vinyl release SSE007… Like Bond they delivered nothing short of pure class! 4 x absolute fire cuts that can turn any place upside down. A1. 8x8x8=4 is a percussion monster cut of Sister Sledge cover of ‘Stevie Wonders – As”, A2. Cos I Love U is another bass and drum work out of “Thelma Houston - Don't Know Why”, B1. Who Is That Girl is a heavy disco peak rework of “Andrea True Connection – What’s Your Name”. To round off this epic EP  B2. People take’s all the key 
elements of “Archie Bell - Don't Wait For The World” to take us on a slap bass odyssey.

'Trip Through The Galaxy' is a slow-motion cosmic trip that is vast in scale and high on soul thanks to the warm vocal that floats amidst funky riffs and glowing keys. Things stay just as sensuous and steamy on the flip with 'Supernova Child', another fluid and funky jam with oodles of synth magic and gentle grooves all soothing mind, body and soul. The real kicker is the vocal samples that add extra spaced-out funkiness.

The faultless Funkyjaws music rolls out another irresistible disco dazzler in its Discolifting series with Enigmatic producer Black Truffle at the helm. He debuted in 2023 and has landed on labels like Gamm and this one before now, always making a mark in the process. 'Ti Voglio' starts with some fiery Latin vocals and big strings straight from a Philly disco classic. 'Venus' has a fat low end and stepping groove with plenty of lavish instrumental flair, and 'To Be The One' is a filter-heavy, funky-disco cruiser for good times only.
