Paramida, the hostess and DJ behind Salon Zur Wilden Renate's renowned Paradisco Parties,
launches her new label "Love On The Rocks" with a classic time-bender, which takes us once more on
a night trip beyond the deepest galaxies, courtesy of fellow Paradisco Resident Massimiliano Pagliara.
Keeper of the vintage analog sound-waves Massimiliano Pagliara is back with another inimitable
House ballad. „Flying Away From You“ gives a voice to all the broken hearts that still feel attached to
the ones they fell in love with. But the end of something is always a start of something new. Driven by
a cosmic lead melody and the ethereal voice of Heidi Diehl, we spread our wings to take off and leave
the past behind. Contrasting the female lead voice stands Massimiliano with his own half-spoken
performance, backed by his long time friend and lyrics co-writer Jules Etienne.
The record comes with an Instrumental version on the flip side and a Dub mix will be released as a
digital exclusive.

This collection of underground dance music covers tracks released between 1975 and 1983 from both sides of the Atlantic. The tracks chosen for this compilation introduce some of the pioneering few who expanded the horizons of disco to incorporate elements of dub, funk, electro, jazz and Latin. In some ways many of the artists featured here foresaw the birth of successive musical genres. There is no disputing that they were all well ahead of their time and with the recent trend of similarly inspired house they sound as fresh today as they did then.

The music chosen for this album were the underground classics that made the scene what it was in the heady of days of the Paradise Garage and the Loft in NYC and the Warehouse in Chicago where DJs such as Arthur Baker and Francois Kervorkian could be heard spinning such tracks.

On disc two (CD version only) Masters at Work add their touches to one of their favourite tracks while Harvey and Underdog take on the Disco Dub band and come up with two very different interpretations which will work on today’s dancefloors.

It's hard to believe that an album Wayne Henderson produced could be a total flop commercially. But then again, worthwhile albums fall through the cracks all the time. That's exactly what happened with this self-titled debut album by Father's Children, a little known L.A. band that Henderson produced in 1979. The music on this out of print LP is essentially soul and funk, but with jazz overtones.
