We welcome another great talent and new Blank Wave family member: France based Charlotte Boisselier alias Cate Hortl is combining her fascination for the energy of the clubs and her passion for haunted melodies of dark Pop.

After a period of creating with the dazzling Ambeyance and Oktober Lieber bands, she has now been working solo for the past three years, carving out a more intimate path and bringing long standing explorations to life.

Feeding her inferno with 80s influences, she conjures up modern Italo, heavy-footed dark Pop, galvanizing EBM and ecstatic Techno in a stormy atmosphere, fusing melancholy and joy, dance and introspection.

By appropriating these registers and their contradictions, she has put together the exciting first EP “Smog”, released in the fall of 2021 on Ritmo Fatale. Just after, she released “HEX”, on the Warriorecords label. More recently, two of her new tracks were released on the Club Forever label, and she took part in the latest compilation by New York label Samo Records.

The diver descended into an underwater cavern drawn by the allure of the submerged cosmos. The dub techno beats grew louder, enveloping him in a surreal labyrinth of sound and light. He lost all sense of time and space, transported to a parallel universe where strange creatures swam alongside him. As he ascended, he realized that the experience had forever changed him, the haunting melody of the dub techno universe echoing through his consciousness.

Bio/
Emesh, led by Antonio Muñoz, blends creative music production across electronic, ambient, slow trance, and IDM genres. Hailing from La Alcarria, Spain, he's been crafting diverse sounds on Sendero Records since 2013—ranging from danceable beats to soothing melodies, drawing inspiration from 80s pop and electronic music. Antonio's journey as a musician and therapist began as a DJ in Spain's club scene, later expanding to Madrid's renowned venues. Evolving his skills, he delved into music production, mastering various instruments and exploring sound therapy rooted in shamanic practices. Notably, his track was featured at the London Music Conference in 2020, showcasing his talent on a global stage. Currently, he's immersed in his studio, Elul, recently completing an indie electronic EP with Miss Zagato, with more releases slated for 2024. Stay tuned for his latest creations.

All her life, Charlotte Boisselier aka Cate Hortl has danced between her fascination for the energy of the clubs and her passion for haunted dark pop melodies.

The Parisian by adoption has always carried projects in the depths of the capital like the duo Ambeyance, it is within the duo Oktober Lieber that she first shook the international scene : their only album "In Human" and months of frantic tours will eventually overcome this project as schizophrenic as flamboyant, uniting the nocturnal peoples with the goth world in a deluge of hybrid EBM, cold wave on steroids and liberated experimental.

Yet, if this silent separation has left the confidants orphaned, the young woman has found the space to concretize long-cherished explorations and give shape to her exciting alias Cate Hortl, who will feed her inferno with modern italo, heavy-footed dark pop and ecstatic techno. 

By appropriating these registers and their contradictions, she has put together the exciting first EP “Smog”, released in the fall of 2021 on Ritmo Fatale. A little wilder than the previous one, you can now listen to her second EP “HEX”, released on June 3, 2022, on the Warriorecords label, and her Amazing release on Club Forever 07 - Burnt Back is available now!

When Rotterdam based, UK born DJ/producer Birds (real name Katie Wilkinson) began putting together the tracks for her debut album, she realised that there was an ongoing theme to the vocal lines; they all were related to either being at, leaving or returning to some form of ‘home’, most likely because she made the move from The UK to The Netherlands less than 6 months before and was still going through the traumatising visa process. This led her to think about the philosophical question of what exactly is home. The album explores these themes.

Sus inicios se remontan a principios de los 90, realizando un programa de radio llamado La Hora Indie, donde sonaban grupos como Ministry, Nitzer Ebb, Pulp o New Order. 

Es un autentico apasionado de la música y coleccionista de discos, especialmente los de doce pulgadas. 

El primer contacto con una cabina fue en el año 93 en Carmín, pasando luego a Farmacia de Guardia, donde es residente desde su apertura.
Durante casi dos años llevando las riendas de la sesión matinal Da Funk, por la que pasaron los principales dj,s de Valladolid. 

Ha sido  promotor y residente de dos sesiones muy destacadas en la ciudad de Valladolid, hablamos de Click Clack Club y Circus, por donde pasaron artistas de primer nivel tanto nacionales, como internacionales, también ha sido residente de clubs como Subterfugio, Refugio, UHF, La Española Cuando Besa, Summun ademas de la residencia mensual que tuvo en Dr Wax de Madrid en el año 2.001 

Su música ha sonado en salas como:Fellini(Bcn),Flow(Huesca),Beatz y Submarino(Salamanca) en la casi totalidad de clubs de la ciudad de Valladolid, como Radiola, Asklepios, Mocco, La Lola, Rosarillo Club, Factory, La Traviata, Namaste, Loop ,Cafe del Sol,1.900, Crisol, Matadero…También cuenta con un proyecto llamado La Máquina del Tiempo, donde se revisan los clásicos de los 80 y 90.

En sus sesiones siempre busca el alma a la música, destacando sobre todo su conexión con la pista. En estos momentos ha vuelto a la radio con su programa habitación615 en Ibiza Sonica.
