New release from EDM Underground Bourne - Runaway EP with Deep House mood and great remixes from Ilias Katelanos, Specdub and Analog Trip Bourne%%u2019s career started on the beginnig of the new millenium. In his %%u201Estudy years%%u201D, in 2003 he was first discovered in an unusual way, he created the website of the Club of Colors, and he had been worked on its operation for two years. Because of this he established many notable connections in the Hungarian night life. After another two years he came up with his own music site which had strenghten his status and gave him further networking opportunities. Along the music site he developed and operated his presence in the night life as a DJ became constant, moreover he started to make his own songs as a producer. With his high class creations he enriched several DJ%%u2019s disk case like Moshic, Tarkan, Felipe, Mihai Popoviciu, The Timewriter and Hernan Cattaneo. From the autumn of 2008 he joined the Deaf Company formation, and at the same time he established his studio at home, furthermore he became resident DJ at Pub Fiction Club in Sopron and Makambo House in Ajka. Deaf Company is a successful DJ project, within this project he is one of the DJs while he is responsible for graphic design, website editorial and for promotions. The year of 2009 gave him other challenges when he established the Oversized Records which became one of the most vanted independent e-music record label in Hungary, while internationally was considerd among well known labels. The %%u201ETalent Of The Year 2010%%u201D was the outbreak in his career, in the competition of the most popular Hungarian electronic music magazin, called Soundhead.hu. In 2013 he challenged himself again, the outcome is that he is now internationally recognized. He was the first Hungarian producer who released with his EP at i! Records which belongs to the legendary American musician and DJ, Kevin Yos t. Alongside his producer and DJ career Bourne has found his unique specialty in the music industry with live effects as he is improvizing on the DJ stage with his own sounds, loops and other elementery rhythms. When you're talking about techno, few names have been innovating and evolving as much as Robert Hood. When he's not running things over at M-Plant, he can be found touring the festival circuit with his live show and releasing tonnes of fresh new material.

Today we concentrate on his more melodic alias and under the name Floorplan, Hood has released a stunning album showcasing a slightly different yet equally strong sound.

A new EP is set to drop featuring two re-edits of tracks that appeared on his Floorplan album 'Paradise'. 'Phobia' and 'Never Grow Old' have been given a special Re-Plant and we have the premiere of the latter.

Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Bjarki returns to трип with another EP brandishing five restructured doses of IDM from another galaxy. Using marching kick drums as a basis, oli gumm takes references from techno, gabber and trance and morphs them into something far less easy to categorise. 

‘oli gumm 2-2’ switches frantically between glistening synth cascades and bouncing kicks. ‘fork2-2’ is a subdued excursion through ominous, trance-inducing strings and skeletal percussion. 

Opening the B side, ‘7 filakaramellur lion bar’ spirals through warped vocals and acoustic contortions, followed by ‘hatann satann’, a high speed voyage through a demonic parallel universe. Closing off the EP, ‘sleikjó’ uses rolling drums to circle around a pit of sparse sonic oddities.

Young Irish-producer Rebūke continues his rapid ascent to the top with two original productions on Hot Creations, primed and ready for the dancefloor.

Rebūke recalls being worried that Along Came Polly may have been perceived as being “a bit too weird”, but once it caught the attention of Jamie Jones, there was no stopping it. He says that the hype surrounding this EP “is something I’ve never experienced before...and it always get a great reaction”.

On Along Came Polly, Rebūke showcases his innate ability to craft a weirdly, wonderful slice of techno. On the B-side, Rolo is a much housier affair, weaving together a bouncier bassline and sultry vocal stab.

The alias of Reuben Keeney, Rebūke, has only been in business for a short while, but his efforts have already proved to be fruitful. He has garnered support from the likes of Nic Fanciulli and released on labels including Saved and DFTD, as well as having a successful club night under his belt, where highly regarded names such as Camelphat, Darius Syrossian, Ejeca and Huxley have all played.

Life Starts At Last Bus - I will lose everything

Two contrasting remixes of ‘Space Date’ come courtesy of Pleasurekraft and John Monkman, as the three-way collaboration between Adam Beyer, Layton Giordani and Green Velvet continues to thrill. Joining the strong reworks is an unexpected treat for fans; a last-minute inclusion of a fresh new original track from the trio.

Drumcode got its first taste of Pleasurekraft’s unique production touch in 2016 when ‘Dopefield’ dropped on ‘A-Sides Vol.5’. The Swedish/American duo’s exploration of cosmic techno realms made them the ideal candidates to re-work ‘Space Date’. Their contribution is as visceral as they come; defined by a hypnotic vocal arrangement, a stirring call and response melody and propulsive galloping beats fashioned for peak-time moments. No surprise it was a highlight of Adam Beyer’s Ultra Resistance sets and gobsmacked Maceo Plex who requested a promo to play at Time Warp a week later.

Meanwhile Drumcode debutant John Monkman steps up with a very different, but not less deadly reinterpretation of ‘Space Date’. The Brit has impressed in recent times with strong releases on Ellum, Kompakt and his own Beesemyer imprint, and takes this form into DC207. His is a twisted intergalactic re-rub drenched in warped electro, blistering modular sounds and touches of IDM that manages the difficult task of taking the original to darker, more leftfield realms without ever losing its powerful dancefloor pulse.

In a clashing of dancefloor titans, Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones joins forces with Cuttin’ Headz curators The Martinez Brothers in the studio for the first time to churn out their new, slamming and anthemic tune 'Bappi' - set to drop on October 11 via Hot Creations.

“After being friends and DJing together for so many years, the bro’s and I finally got into my studio in LA together at the start of the year," Jones explains. We had a few sessions which was so easy and productive from the offset. We jammed out some songs, and this is the first to be released, it’s been a huge bomb for us this summer!"

With ‘Can You Handle It’, we welcome back Ryan Dupree on Stil vor Talent after a longer hiatus. The result was definitely worth the wait though, as Ryan presents two catchy deep house weapons that can easily hold their own next to the genre’s big success stories of the past months. As a bonus, Ryan’s SVT100 compilation track can be found, alongside a convincing Teenage Mutants remix. While ‘Joy’ offers itself as an uplifting slice of house thanks to rolling percussion, chopped diva vocals and an elastic bass line, ‘Take Me Higher’ aims for the peak-time. Here, menacing acid sounds meet wild claps and a thunderstorm of synths. The title-track ‘Can You Handle It’ then focuses on a low-slung, driving bass line and pitched-down spoken word. Lastly, Teenage Mutants reduces the original’s elements to the essential to create a slow and spacious groover. You can literally smell the club’s sweat.
