Biography Hugo Piló 
The singer and composer's first performances began in Nazaré at the age of 15, in the band “Ínclita Geração” and in the singing group “Amigos para Sempre”, a group directed by Porfírio do Carmo Laborinho.

At the age of 18, catapulted by the SIC program “Chuva de Estrelas”, he was invited to join the group “SantaClaus”, achieving success in Portugal due to the version of “Lilás” (Djavan), with concerts all over the countryland. Madeira , Açores and portuguese diaspora ( France , Canada). 

Between 2002 and 2008 he dedicated himself to the rock band, “Blister”, which he founded with musicians recognized on the national and international music scene.


Blister released 2 LPs and 1 EP, with several singles that reached the radio charts Antena3, BestRock Fm and Rádio Comercial. They were also part of soundtracks for series such as Morangos com Açúcar, Diários de Sofia and New Wave.

“Day by day”, “Pleasure” and “Old Friends” were the songs that achieved the greatest success, with music videos and a lot of airplay on national radio stations.  ( https://open.spotify.com/search/blister )

In 2010, the singer also performed the song “Vivo por Ti”, included in the soundtrack of the TVI soap opera, “Espírito Indomável”.

In recent years, the artist has published, through digital platforms, some songs, such as “Nada Pessoal”, “Cliente Habitual” or “Trova do Vento Que Passa”.

Like almost all nazarenes, Hugo Piló lives Carnival intensely in his hometown, and has participated in many different marches, having sung at Mar-Alto, an association that also holds Carnival dances.

 

At the time of the 2020 confinement, the version of ‘Trova do Vento Que Passa’ appeared, which ended up bringing the troops together again and moving towards a different record, in this case the EP, ‘Engaço’

In 2021, 'Engaço' was released, an EP with 5 new songs, lyrics written by the artist and where you can listen to the song 'Faltas Tu', and 'Dueto dos Dois' with Margarida Cabral.

 


“Engaço” was an excellent opportunity to get to know the Nazarene artist musically, and represents for the musician “everything and everyone who allowed his career to still remain active”, his family ties, friends and his origins.


In 2022, the artist released a Christmas-themed theme, “Pai Natal Cinzento”, and like all of the artist's other themes, it is available in video and audio on all music sharing networks (YouTube, Spotify, Apple ..).


`Balão de ar quente`, `Fevereiro` and `Basta haver amor` are the pioneering themes in the mission to present 12 original themes during the year 2024.

 Por alturas do confinamento de 2020 surge a versão da ‘Trova do Vento Que Passa’, que acabou por reunir as tropas novamente e avançar para um registo diferente, neste caso o EP, ‘Engaço’

Em 2021 é editado o ‘Engaço’, EP com 5 novos temas , letras da autoria do artista e onde se pode escutar o tema ‘Faltas Tu’,  e ‘Dueto dos Dois’ com Margarida Cabral.
