Back in 2006, Discobox started as a house music party in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. With @danield_sounds as resident and house music local legend Vinilcius as promoter, the party was aimed in playing high quality house music to a small crowd interested in hear new sounds. 

Discobox had a unique vibe and during its almost 100 editions hosted the more expressive names of brazilian and international house music scene. In 2013 we moved on, focusing even more in the music : Discobox Records was born. An independent record label presenting the party's musical concept in exclusive productions, keeping one foot in the past and other in the future. 

We want to release music inspired by the sounds of 70s disco and classic house music as well the modern and synthetic flavor of nu-disco and tech-house sounds.

Cut & Shut Edits take influences from Soul, Disco, Funk, Hip Hop & House music from the dusty archives with a firm aim of releasing 'Edits for Chiefs, DJ's & Dancers'

There's little to tell about the identity of the producer (or producers) behind the Brother Edit project, as they are wisely keeping quiet to avoid a knock on the door from Her Majesty's finest. What we can tell you, though, is that this is a pretty darn tasty debut outing. It's a nicely varied affair, with the Brother from beyond showing an ability to work with both funk/soul style breakbeats (the head-nodding brilliance of superbly structured opener "Chains") and rolling, bass-heavy, kick-drum heavy 4/4 beat patterns. In the latter category, you'll find the bustling disco-funk roller "Right Now", the wide-eyed '80s soul-goes-house warmth of "Tonight" and superior (if needlessly sped-up) British reggae-funk makeover "Together".

Originally from Ireland,Scratch has been involved in the House scene since '94.Learning his trade on vinyl,he has embraced the digital movement and is as comfortable with a CDJ as he is with a Technics 1210...
Now based in Perth for the last 4 Years he has become heavily involved in the ever growing House scene here.
In a short period of time he has gathered a large fan base and has been  extremely busy playing and promoting house music here.
In the past few year he had the privilage to share stages with some major players and also some house legends like Robert Owens and more recently Erick Morillo,Roger Sanchez, Frankie Rizardo,Sam Divine ,Low Steppa,Dosem, Gene Farris,David Keno,Nic Fanciulli, Monkey Safari, Stacey Pullen, Sebastien Leger,  Bjarki, George Fitzgerald, Nina Kraviz,Weiss and Dennis Cruz.Scratch has also played at the last Stereosonic festival in Perth.And more recently has played for Clockwork Orange at Redhill Auditorium where he shared the main stage with the legendary Tall Paul,Seb Fontaine and Jeremy Healy.
Now being one of Deepsoundz  resident djs and co-presenting Radio show Looney Choons on RTR FM, this has been an extremely busy year and 2017 promises to be even bigger.
Along with his partner in crime Dj DMC these guys always put on a great show and are an essential booking if you are serious about House.
