Huguenots were formed in 2014 by singer-songwriter Bayly Pike and multi-instrumentalist Tom Fleming, formerly of King Of Spain, who released two albums for cult indie label Shifty Disco before disbanding in 2013. The band was envisaged as a back-to-basics recording project as a relief from previous years spent on the live music circuit. Once a handful of new songs had been developed, guitarist Rich Orpin (The Tiger Moths) was added alongside drummer Ben Spencer, and Huguenots' debut EP, 'Heyford' was self-recorded in Tom's South London flat in summer 2014. Although the band generally eschew playing live, they debuted the new material at the now-deceased 12 Bar Club on Denmark Street, and also became a regular feature of the legendary monthly open-mic night at the Grosvenor pub in Pimlico. 

A second EP was recorded by Rowland Prytherch - again at Tom's flat - with the addition of Tom Watson (The Tiger Moths) on bass, and released in 2015. Following the release the band went on hiatus for several years as Tom F relocated to New York and members pursued various other projects.

In 2018 Huguenots began playing together once again, and in late 2019 spent two days recording new material with Rowland Prytherch once again producing, this time at Shrunken Heads studio in Nunhead, London. Despite delays caused largely by the global COVID-19 pandemic, overdubs, mixing and mastering were completed during 2020 and the new EP, 'Post-Christmas Lullaby' will be released on 29 January 2021.
