Somersault's growth as an artist is something worthy of attention and documentation - hence, "Euphotic". The euphotic zone is the top layer of the ocean exposed to enough light for photosynthesis to occur. "Euphotic" represents the growth of new life. Lifting up your submerged head, the sun gleaming through the last centimetres of water. 

Sunlight insufficient for photosynthesis barely illuminates the disphotic zone. "Disphotic" delves deeper toward the ocean floor, pummelled through the darkness with minimalistic progressive layers.

Our unique range of talented remixers are connected by this monstrous ocean; Ariose (Scotland) create colour through a melodic jaunt that is their translation of "Euphotic"; Matt Dwellers (France/Australia) takes "Disphotic" into his hands, returning a moody deep techno interpretation; Dan Baartz (Australia/Indonesia) twists "Disphotic" into a strong minimal, tribal groove. 

The release as a whole represents the deeper side of Bassic Records experimentation with tech and house, connecting global talents on a platform for unlimited expression.
