Vertex is Slobodan Gacesa (aka Merlin) from Serbia. 

It all started back in 2008, when two friends, Nikola Kozic (ZYCE) and Slobodan Gacesa (MERLIN) joined forces to create something new on the scene - a combination of psytrance and chillout - and Vertex was born.

With Slobodan's knowledge in playing piano, harmonies and in general musical theory and Nikola's widely known expertise in music production and sound design, this project represents beautiful blend of deep, progressive, psy-trance, ethnic and ambient motives, with wide spectrum of diverse themes and sounds. 

Debut album under the name "OCEAN", which represented the element of water, was released for TesseracTstudio records in 2010. After a great success of "OCEAN", dynamic duo continues the journey and two years after delivers the second album with symbolic name "EARTH", which represented element of earth and had a great success on most of the major psy trance charts. 

It inspired many music producers and therefore already next year (2013) album under name of "EARTH remixes" was released on TesseracTstudio, containing remixes done by names such as Suduaya, Human Element, Nerso, Aquafeel and more.

So far besides albums, there were more then 15 EP's and Singles released for some of the biggest records labels in the scene and Vertex had been selected on more than 30 VA compilations worldwide!

Vertex's collaboration track with Pion called "Sunrise Tonic" achieved a great success and became a massive hit, even being remixed by legendary Liquid Soul and released on Perfecto records by Paul Oakenfold. It was selected as official track of famous OZORA festival in 2011.

Over the years, Vertex has developed a unique and recognizable sound on the scene, known by beautiful melodies, atmospheres, harmonies and divergent spectrum of sounds. It is considered to be one of the most innovative projects on progressive & psy trance scene, often combining what is considered impossible.

After the years of collaboration and 2 studio albums, Slobodan took the lead and in 2017 friends decided to split, resulting in Vertex being a solo project of Slobodan.

Slobodan is at the moment in the process of making the 3rd studio album, which will have association with the element of... FIRE! Album will be released by the end of the year 2019.

In the last decade Berlin became a magnetic force of culture. With an enormous appeal to artists from all areas of expertise including music, design, architecture, theatre, dance and everything that helps the evolution of imagination and creativity. Like many other labels, Iono Music was born in order to give its founder, Cubixx aka Matthias Sperlich, the freedom he needed to release his first creation as Koaxkaos – "Evolutyon". After he met Murus in 2003 at a Psytrance festival, they started working together for several years, and so Iono Music was established in 2005. Unlike many other labels, which are affected by fashion, hype and commercial factors, Iono Music has been motivated by the radiation that the music transmits and the way the body reacts to it. If the music changes the molecules and atoms into ion then it means it has been ionized*. The Ionization process can only be fully successful if your music is high quality Electronic music. Iono Music's main emphasis is on Progressive Psytrance and yet any Electronic style is accepted as long as it stands out of the others – after all it has to reach the top atmosphere to be an Iono…

Matthias Sperlich was born in 1977 in Berlin, Germany. He has over 15 years of experience behind the decks and has a long time love affair with electronic music. He works as a professional VFX artist for cinema and TV, which allows him to pursue his passion and vision of extraordinary music, while being guided by his perfectionist's standards. Since the beginning Cubixx knew that Iono Music could succeed only if he chooses each artist with extra care, examining every aspect to see if they belong in the Iono family. Thus all the artists and dj's you see in our website were picked one by one, after proving to be not only excellent artists but also great people.

Fabricka is an experimental electronic music alias of Simon Grech based in Malta, blending the raw emotion of film scores with the intricate complexities of IDM, Glitch, and Electronica. With a passion for exploring the boundaries of sound, Simon's music takes listeners on a journey of self-reflection, emotional depth, and mental liberation.

Born into a musical environment, his journey began at the age of 6, when he started studying piano at the prestigious Johann Strauss School of Music in Malta. Early on, a love for classical music was nurtured, but it wasn’t until his teenage years that a fascination with machine-made music emerged. A pivotal moment in his musical evolution came when he discovered the experimental works of artists like Apparat, Telefon Tel Aviv and Max Cooper - artists who shaped his sonic landscape and steered their creativity toward the left-field realms of electronic music.

Drawing influence from a diverse array of film scores and electronica, Fabricka's sound is as much about deconstructing musical norms as it is about capturing raw emotion. His tracks often explore themes of self-reflection, confronting fear, and magnifying the emotions that often lurk in the depths of the mind. Through his music, Simon seeks to empower listeners to break down their mental barriers and face their inner struggles.
