To allude to something is to hint at it without directly mentioning it. With these four tracks from Survey, there’s no questions what is being alluded to; An old school sound, simplified with the raw elements of drum and bass all at play with one another. 

Heavy midlines, rolling sub bass and raw, under processed drums. The music ties together perfectly with the artwork; A hand drawn, graffiti piece by Berlin-based graffiti writer, Egal.

The ‘Dragonforce’ EP could be the best work yet to emerge from the studios of Laurence Reading aka Halogenix. Flipping from the Japanese comic book influence of the title track to the beautiful future soul of ‘Independent’ is something not many other producers are capable of. ‘Tekina’ brings even more ingenuity with a delicate light/dark fusion whilst ‘Reminisce’ is awash with warmth and ethereal feels. An essential EP.
