	Back for seconds? We don't blame you. The 1st batch of remixes have started to surface from our earlier releases, and we've boxed them into 'The Remixes: Volume 1'. 8 tracks of re-envisioned club madness, with a familiar taste. 

	Starting it off, Melbourne artist Di Apprentice hop's on Swick and Lewis Cancut's infectiously playful 'Hi Score'  encouraging all de girls a Whine, Whine, Whine. This track screams crossover / radio / dancehall hit, all day. Trouble & Bass's AC Slater shows the greyer side of His Majesty Andre's smash 'Sunshine' with an overcast, garaged influenced mix. All seasons groove, no doubt. Amsterdam's Jeff Doubleu takes Bot's triumphant Barefoot and put some shoes on it. That means you can step the fuck off if you don't like it. Undeniable. The next dish, served by yung Swedish chef Raymond Lam is a unanimous hit at all dinner parties, and discotheques. Hi Score hits the bonus rounds with this remix, already gaining massive support from folks like Clockwork who have pegged it as a peak time set staple. Label man Bot shows another chamber in his ever-expanding arsenal, as he turns Astronomar's rambunctious 'Like This' into a jovial jaunt through warehouse corridors. DC's Nacey remixes one of our most trippy offerings thus far (Will Eastman's 'Caroline'), and spanks it with the funk, harkening memories of a Tennesseean stripper with the sass of Dolly Parton twisted on peach schnapps. That was a good night. No, that was a GREAT night. After that, our Italian cuzzo's 2D Noize spelunk into an ice cave and carve a new version of Astronomar's Pay Attention. Which is amazing, because how do you have time to spelunk when making such sick tracks? And finally, we return to the classics, the first remix we released from Rinse FM's Roska – repacked for your convenience. All 8 tracks are ready for takeout December 10th on Main Course.

The new dirtybird compilation is loaded with 11 great tunes I have been collecting for over 6 months. Most notably, the Shiba San "OKAY" record has absolutely been destroying every dance floor known to man. We have lots of big birds like Justin Martin, Catz ‘N Dogz & Justin Jay on this, plus a ton of great newcomers and friends making appearances.

The dirtybird BBQ was founded as a small get together in Golden Gate Park thirteen years ago. We've had the same core line-ups and even the same chef, Grillson, since the beginning.  But three years ago, the free party in the park got too big and our permit was pulled.  The city of San Francisco could no longer handle the amount of people showing up to the event.  

Ever since then we have been trying to think of way to bring back the vibe of the BBQ park party. This year we finally put together a team that is able to take the BBQ party all across North America and Europe. We will be starting in Miami and ending in San Francisco so make sure to come grill and chill with us sometime this year. This compilation is a celebration of the O.G. dirtybird BBQ vibe.   I hope you enjoy the music.

Going from incredible wet basses to big textures reminding you of a spaceship entering the stratosphere. Business box means business. Spud has Audeka flirting with hip hop style synth lines drenched in shattering basses: "A sort of technical experiment working with bitcrushed/compressed kick drums to create sub tones and textures. The name 'Spud' was inspired by the sort of ripping textures in the track that sound like pulling roots out of the ground. "As Skyler puts it.

Like a good abstract painting this release reveals it's intricacy trough textures rather than tones. Trough groove rather than tempo. Weird out of place double bass jazz breaks that are interrupted by heavy synth bass intermezzos make the title track a rather fun listen. Skyler on Business Box: "A sort of humorous tune at heart. We imagined the days of black and white, and a kind sir waltzing to work in the morning saying "Bully Day!"
Finally the 4x4 to the floor track, and first for Audeka: "Not the most impressive tune in terms of sound design, but we enjoyed the vibes. Was nice to take a break from doing sound design driven tracks, and create something that made us want to dance a bit.This track carries some extra value because it has been in our hard drive for nearly 2 years. We never really found a home for it until now, so it feels great to be able to show it to some people!" And we are very proud to be that home!

More than pleased with this stellar remix added to this already wonderful release. Going out at 174. In style... Lockjaw style. Fresh, clean yet hench and dirty. Just the way we like it

This is a collection of tracks I've made with inspirations from all over the electronic music spectrum. I wanted to tell a different story and step away from the regular structure and create a listening experience that feels different and original from all the other music that is already out there.

Humanworkshop is a loose collective of electronic music producers and audio professionals.

We are a label, manufacturing and releasing CD and vinyl albums alongside offering free MP3 downloads of exclusive tunes and DJ/live recordings. We are an audio services company, producing content for any conceivable form of online and offline media. And we are a blog and e-zine, writing and publishing articles related to audio production, music composition and new media.

As a music collective and netlabel, we aim to cover a wide area of electronica and beats genres without being part of any particular scene. We are not a dubstep label, not drum and bass collective; rather we like to look at ourselves as a group that combines virtually any modern style with more authentic and traditional music. We are interested in music that merges contemporary production with samples and recordings of 'real-world', physical instruments.

As an audio services company, we like to think we are a versatile bunch of professionals, able of producing sound design and music tailor-made to the wishes of our clients. We have worked for big and small clients alike, ranging from the BBC, Nike to non-profit, government funded projects.

Humanworkshop was established in 2000 by Daan Hendriks, Gerrit Elbrink and Remus Ockels, then first year Audio Design students at the HKU in Hilversum. In 2009, we merged with netlabel and e-zine Fant00m in a move to expand our range and offer more quality content. As a result of this merger, Durk Kooistra entered the core team of Humanworkshop.
