Staying true to Lost City's distinct style, the EP boasts both an original/crossover version and a hard-hitting JNGL version that injects dancefloor adrenaline into these emotionally-charged vocals cuts. Here is a new track I have been working on (another bootleg I know) but this is probably one of my proudest to date! I have decided to keep this one short and sweet to keep the high energy of the track! 

If I get a good response I may drop an extended version if thats what ends up being wanted! 

Also for anyone hating about the frequency of bootlegs, the next project I have coming for you all is going to be completely my own work but Ive had a lot of fun with the last few releases!

"Drifting Away" is a little song I made with my friend Thando (thndo)—a soul singer from Melbourne with this knockout voice (you might’ve seen her on The Voice AU a while back). We go way back—used to play in bands together, and she’s always been one of those people who just gets music.

I wanted her vocals to sound like a worn-in soul sample, so we tried something fun: recorded them slower, then pitched them up to sit in the track all warm and fluttery. It’s got verses and a chorus like a proper song, but it bumps enough for the club, which felt like a fun balance.

A mate joked it was “the Bohemian Rhapsody of speed garage,” which is… generous, ha. But mostly, it’s just nice to make things with old friends. Hope you like it.
