A note from Wendy: My guest is EXIT Theatre Artistic Director Christina Augello. We recorded this interview at her theater in Arcata. EXIT Theatre is currently accepting play submissions for its 2024 Short Play Festival that will be held June 20-23 and June 27-30. Plays should be original works of no more than 10 minutes in length. Plays will be accepted for consideration exclusively from Humboldt County residents through Nov. 30. Beginning Dec. 1, festival play entry will be open to all writers worldwide. Deadline for all play submissions is Dec. 31. Submit entries to mail@theexit.org For festival information and guidelines as well as information about EXIT Theatre, visit theexit.org

We discuss the theater's first short play festival held this past June and the festival's successes and challenges as well as changes for the 2024 festival. Those include an expansion of performance dates allowing room for additional play entries.
