From Cuenca, based in Madrid since 2001, it is at the early age of 16 when he acquires his first turntables, opening for him a wide musical universe that he will gradually discover. Influenced by the machine, progressive and EBM music of the early 90's, Eder has flowed through different styles, always with an open mind to discover new things. Hence his sessions can be considered eclectic, going through house, disco, cosmic, acid house, italo disco, darkwave and rave.

It was in 2012 when he started a project called "Discoteca" dedicated mainly to disco music and derivatives, which for 10 years has been developed by different venues in Madrid as Siroco or Berlin Club, with artists such as Alexander Robotnick, Cosmo Vitelli or Kris Baha to name a few.

A sleazy mix from London-based duo Kiara Scuro.

Formed of Rosie Ama and Nadia (aka ZaaZaa), Kiara Scuro met through a mutual friend and started working together creatively when an opportunity to host a radio show on Reprezent Radio came up. This show opened the doors up to Kiara Scuro with further semi-regular radio slots and residencies appearing on the likes of NTS, Noods and Balamii. It wasn’t until their residency on Worldwide FM that the Kiara Scuro project was fully formed. A true testament to the power of radio, the experimentation and exploration it allows you to do and how it can propel an artist’s career, Kiara Scuro quickly solidified their name as a go-to in the London club circuit and beyond and continued their radio presence on Rinse FM up until recently. Some of their key dates have included Alexandra Palace where they supported Bicep, Glastonbury, Corsica Studios, Dimensions Festival, Gottwood, Field Manuevers, Secretsundaze and Love International to name just a few. Their creativity knows no bounds as in 2021 the duo took their first steps into the world of production, releasing their debut track on Accidential Meetings’ compilation AMF&F002 followed by releases on Fabric Originals, Ritmo Fatale and Armada. This is a taster of what’s to come from Kiara Scuro as they reveal in the interview below that their debut EP is in the works and scheduled to be released early next year!

Rounding off a very exciting year for Kiara Scuro, we speak to the pair about their first introductions, formative musical moments, Rosie’s approach to A&R and curation with her record label Human Endeavour and digging more into what’s on the horizon.

Upon listening to the latest musical offering "The Instigator EP" from Irish artist, DJ & producer Niall Prescott aka Rhythms Of Prescott, you would assume that the artist has solely rooted his years into all things house and its surrounding stylings. This is far from the truth. Niall's deep understanding of all kinds of club and overall music demonstrates his versatility which has given him an uplifting edge as a producer. This comes to light when you see him DJ and begin to see the influences reflected in his music. Its like a drawn out map through sound. This is exactly what comes to mind when you listen to his Phonica mix. Just marking over two hours the mix starts off with some eclectic sounds solemnly and fluidly progressing into drum & bass influences before taking us to some dark bassline filled territories in the realms of techy club and house sounds. A solid closing mix for the series in 2024.

The Swiss, British and Australian multinational has been exploring machine-made music since the late 1990s, recreating in his own way off the classic sounds emanating out of Detroit, Chicago and London on an old MC-303 and Juno 106 synthesiser. His sounds continue today to be influenced by the House, Acid, Techno, Electro and Breakbeat music genres prominent in the US and UK scenes. Through the merging of the gritty with the soulful via both old analog and new digital tools, his music always delivers a raw but emotive touch.

His studio is fitted out with a small collection of classic Roland units, helping him keep true to the authentic sound he loves of the 303s, 909s and 808s. Evident in his own releases for others and on his own imprint Hummingbird, which has gained him regular support from a growing list of industry DJs such as Laurent Garnier, DJ Rolando, Vince Watson, Danny Tenaglia, Roy Davis Jr., DJ Sprinkles, DJ Bone, Ian Pooley, Fred P, nd_Baumecker, DVS1, Colin Dale, Marcel Dettmann, Slam, Tintonton Duvante, Trevor Rockcliffe, Truncate, Terry Frances, Quarion as well as being featured on NTS.

As a DJ both resident or touring his journey has taken him around the World to perform and play feature at venues such as La Ruche, Club der Visionäre, Sunday Breakfast Zurich, Griessmuehle, Brown Alley, Freedom Mills, MOS New Delhi and FUMP Thailand.
