HumUni (hyoom-you-nigh) is a hip hop duo comprised of Brooklyn MC's Mega and Ish. Our foundation is rooted in a deeply shared love of music and brotherhood since junior year of high school in 2008. While still in search of defining our sound as our own, we like to tell folks we're the brainchild of A Tribe Called Quest, OutKast, and BlackStar. We've hit a number of stages in our journey thus far, including the Roseland Ballroom, Bowery Poetry Club, and Emory University. Beyond us two, HumUni is also an acronym for a noun applicable to anyone: a Humble, Understanding, Money-making, Uniquely New Individual. It's something we strive to become with our music and as human beings.
