Welcome to p/n. how are you daniel?
Ztrl: I feel good, thanks! Peace and harmony here.

Your first official release will be on PNR003. Any incoming releases?
Ztrl: I'm in contact with several vinyl labels, some of them have my tracks already, some of them are waiting for my tunes, so if everything goes well I will have some records out in the second part of 2013. 

You improved your music making skills a lot in the past few years. What is your current approach to music production?
Ztrl: The start is really hard to an artist like me. I've had the ideas in my head for ages, but I didn't have the right equipment or knowledge to produce them easily. So first I had to learn a lot on how to create these tunes, with my limited resources. Of course this is not the end of the road. The approach is the same, I try to show my feelings and thoughts in my music, add something from myself into my works.

Music for meditation... how and why?
Ztrl: I made this set half a year ago, for meditation. I always search new ways to find harmony and peace, and this set was made to help me channel out from the week's daily routine. Sit down, watch a sunrise/sunset, or just close your eyes and let your mind run free. 

Future plans?
Ztrl: I would like to finish those vinyl projects first, then I would like to test myself as a dj, step by step, on limited parties etc...
And meanwhile I would like to move from here to Vienna/Berlin/London, find a better job, make new friends, and be a part of the best parties there.

This mix was made using only my dad's records.  Every one of them an original pressing, stuff he bought when he was about as old as I am now--give or take a decade.  My dad never played an instrument really, and my mom always joked that he was actually tone-deaf.  But man, what a taste in music--and in his own way, what an ear too.  My dad could tell you who was playing drums and what year the record was made after hearing the first 2 bars of a song.  Maybe his mind never quite figured out how to communicate with his hands or his voice in a musical way--but he certainly had a mind for music.  

Some of these records were his favorites, some of them are my favorites, and some of them I listened to for the first time while I was putting this mix together--discovering new favorites.

Dad, this one's for you.

Here we are with our 150th session! Wow, big ups to everyone who tuned in live. We had so many listeners that Kbeach's server's were overloaded. We are so happy that this talented & vibrant woman SOSUPERSAM finally came through the studio. It's been a long time coming and we're happy that you finally get a feel for who she is musically and as a person. Wasn't quite sure what she was gonna play for us, but she showed a great diversity and really brought us back to a place that was very much needed towards the end of her set. She's even cooler as a person. Being humble and driven will always get you far. Joe Kay really brought out a diverse selection of music. If you missed the live broadcast then you missed out on an exclusive 25+ minute session that went past our 3rd hour and that only covered unreleased exclusives from our forthcoming catalog. hello, yea, time for another mix. feel bad i havent done a proper one, but i havent gotten the time and mind to record one, so here is a live recording from last months Hunchin All Night at Soju Bar.

Played 8hours straight that night, and this recording started twenty minutes after opening doors, so pretty much warming-up the space, setting the vibe and building the first excitement. some wrecks, some changes, lots of drinks and friends all over, hugging, groovin, dancin...

Hello!

This mix was done in difficult times, under strange circumstances, aiming for things i don't fully understand. Anyhow, like a lot of mixes i like, it's a condensed piece of a club night - setting, building, pacing, peaking, deepening, and releasing...

Yea, it's all over the place, taking right and wrong turns - that happens when u sweat. If u make it to the end, you will be rewarded with one of my absolutely, favourite disco records. It'll never gonna leave you...
