Hunter Begley is a singer/songwriter from North Carolina. He created the band High Blue Heron in 2021 and also has a self-titled solo project. He performs mostly alternative country/americana and rock n roll.

New song “Even in the Light” available now!

After emerging from quarantine to release new music earlier this year, all I wanted was to build a community around these songs. Music has a unique ability to become a part of your life and bring people together. Besides the money and the fame, I just want people to find folks who support them through the music I make. 

“Even in the Light” is a rallying cry for that community. I wanted to make a song that was raucous but also a meditative reminder that we have to keep pushing for the world we want to see. The voices of oppression are far from silenced, and if we don’t sing louder than they spew rhetoric we’ll never get anywhere. Keep singing. Keep your fire burning. Evil is growing.
