Magma Monolith is another theme that was not composed for the original Nexus soundtrack. The original Magma Monolith theme was never settled on, and this is remake of a track I wrote in 2012 called "Magma." It is included in Nexus Genesis because it still fits the bill! Act 2 is faster and more syncopated, reminding you not to stay inside a volcano for too long!

The beach trope returns as our story begins at Sunset Shore! Bouncy and tropical, this theme barely hints at the perils that lay ahead. Act 2 uses more chromatic harmonies to clue the listener into unfolding tension.

Mirage Saloon Act 2 - Sonic Mania [VRC7]

This was one of a few songs MarioSpore sent me to experiment with. This song def. won't fit as a boss theme for the hack, but my instrumentation for this song sounded pretty dope, so I'm posting it all the same.

The technique I used for the thumb was taught to me by Throwaway-Sensei. Rather happy with how I got Waluigi's face, since after posterizing I had to re-draw the teeth and all of his right eye.

I decided I wanted to try and revise my old YM2203 Chrome Gadget cover. The only real hurdle to overcome with this must've been moving what was previously channel 3 over to channel 1, as I moved the lead to channel 3 for improved echoes.

Getting those duophonic chords that were previously on channel 3 over to channel 1 was a bit of a pain, as you have to use a bunch of different operator ratios to achieve the same duophonic effect, but thankfully it wasn't too tricky. Overall, I feel that this is a big improvement over the old version.
