Túlio Augusto S. Santos (1983) is a Brazilian composer, guitarist and harmonica player. Túlio holds a Bachelors degree in composition at Universidade Federal da Bahia, Specialist degree on psychoanalysis and Master degree in Composition at Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal.  He has studied with Paulo Costa Lima, Sara Carvalho, Fernando Burgos, Wellington Gomes and Agnaldo Ribeiro. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Composition and a MA in Music Teaching at Universidade de Aveiro.
Túlio is founder member of the Associação Civil Oficina de Composição Agora (OCA). The OCA is an institution responsible for realising important cultural projects with national and international significance, for example Música de Agora na Bahia. Túlio actively participates on classical and popular music in Brasil, Qatar, Portugal, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, England, Israel, France, Spain and Denmark.
Currently, Túlio is resident composer at Collegium Musicum Conservatory of Seia (Portugal) and is sponsored by Hohner Brazil Harmonicas since 2013.

This site will host my work with experimental voice as composer, performer and teacher.

These recordings show my interest in vocal multiphonics and using the voice as a real-time synthesizer/electroacoustic instrument.

Currently Associate Professor at Lund University_Malmö Academy of Music, Michael is a composer whose work elides the boundaries of complexity with practical applications of physical and perceptual models. Since the mid-90’s he has been pioneering work with Multidimensionality and Nonlinear Phenomenon applied to sound production and composition.

Michael is engaged with research into voice, acoustics and perception. His work with the extra-normal voice is internationally known through performances, journal publications and a book, The 21st Century Voice published in the New Instrumentation Series (Scarecrow Press).

As a performer Mike Edgerton presents performances focused on different aspects of sound production and organization of the extra-normal voice. In this program, performances explore voiced and unvoiced multiphonics; frications beginning at the lips and moving progressively backwards; the vocal folds, the glottis, on both ingressive and egressive airflow; unusual modes of phonation; the alphabet; shamanism and grief in the vast open plains; airflow intersecting with lips, tongue spit; an improvisation based on the timbre and articulation of a song from Thailand; meditation on breathing by using the respiratory tract as a bellows; lip and tongue flutters, tongue frications with slight whistle tones, and; end of breath – going deeply into the air reserve.
