Returning after a year’s break from releasing music to focus solely on finishing the album; Xtrah follows up his previous EP for Cyberfunk, ‘New Perspective’, featuring the dance floor, crowd-pleaser ‘In The Shadows’ – a track that gained heavy radio, club and festival play
with support globally from such artists as Noisia, DJ Hype, Rene La Vice, and many others.

Taken from his highly-anticipated debut album ‘X’, Dispossessed embodies the razor-sharp techniques Xtrah has mastered to refine his sound after a decade’s worth of craft within the drum and bass scene.

Xtrah’s development in experimental techniques has lead to recreating organic sounding instruments and classic breaks by carving elements from synthesised soundscapes. His
mastery of digital processes has allowed him to create an album, that not only stands up in the digital era, but still retains the soul and feel of sampled records reinforcing his original approach to making music via sampling.

By some distance, ‘X’ is the meticulous London artist’s biggest project to date – one that has taken him almost three perfection-chasing years to complete but is now ready for release.

We are delighted to announce a new addition to the Innerground family, the hugely talented BassBrothers! Originating from the city of Viana do Castelo, the Portuguese duo are here to fulfil your daily dose of ominous, dark and intense Drum n Bass.


Launching Headz EP is “Bizness” a monster track peppered with glitchy and choppy elements. Eerie and unruly sways of dark energy set the precedent for the rest of the EP - this track is custom-built for those 3.A.M basement parties that go all night long.


Next up is the title track of the EP, “Headz”, which steers us in an unexpected direction. While retaining the dark energy of the first, the rapid tempo and percussive elements generate that trademark BassBrothers sound which is sure to get you moving.

Following on from Headz is “Love You So”. Undulating bumpy basslines, airy vocal samples, and harmonica infused flows merge seamlessly to create a unique and refreshing aural experience.


“Not Bossa Nova” completes the EP, bringing us full circle by plunging us back into the depths of attacking breakbeats and jabbing synths. Unrelenting from start to finish, it seals Headz EP with a bang.


A beautifully crafted EP that weaves the vibrant energy of Drum n Bass with dark and ominous production, for an immensely exciting musical journey.

Headz

Our celebrations for 5 years of our humble little label continue and this time, we've brought in some wonderful talent to remix a couple of classics from our discography. We welcome Madusea, Incus and Elemental Entropy to the label for the first time, and welcome back Hex and Echo Motion. These artists have taken on tracks by K2T, Option, Sirus and Linear and have flipped them into bangers that morph the originals into a new entity.

Madusea steps into the ring first to remix 'Elder Spirit' by label boss K2T. By chopping up the original lead hook into short hits, Madusea has transformed the liquid/jungle hybrid into a dark, techy beast!

Echo Motion returns as a solo artist and takes on 'In The Clouds' by Option. While Echo Motion has been making a name for himself with beautiful liquid, this remix shows his darker side, as he turns Option's sultry track into a monster; watch out for the second-half switch!

Next up, Hex takes on Sirus' 'Arashi' and switches it into a roller as he does best. Chopping up the bass from the original while introducing the original breaks as fills, Hex effortlessly shows us how a real roller is made.

We're proud to welcome Occupy Sound boss Incus to Detached Audio, as he remixes 'Icebreaker' by Linear & K2T. The original dancefloor track is taken into a deeper direction while retaining the funk that made 'Icebreaker' a crowd favourite.

Finally, we have an alternative excursion from Hawaii-based Elemental Entropy, who turns Option's beautiful 'I Need It' into a deep, moody dubstep track. Smatterings of the original track's pianos are placed smoothly around a sparse 140 beat, which perfectly diversifies this phenomenal EP.

Our aim has always been to release diverse music from a range of people and this EP adds yet another arrow to our bow. 5 years have gone, and this aim will still be met in the years to come.

BIOGRAPHY:

Hustle Audio began life in February 2009 with James Green (Decade) and Phil Innes (Phil Hustle) teaming up to create an imprint that served as a base for Nottinghamshire and midlands producers and artists.

After gathering rapid pace in the scene, the label quickly spread it's wings worldwide. Many new signings followed resulting in a torrent of fresh beats. 

With numerous article features, great commercial and pirate radio exposure, a dedicated following of fans and producers alike, Hustle Audio has gained deserved respect amongst the highest ranks within Drum &amp; Bass.

We're here to provide what we think is a quality output, nothing else. No "philosophies", no pretentious ideals or stereotypical agendas, just solid music.

Now back in 2018 after a 5 year break, expect more music very soon!
