Without holding his breath or glancing back, Steyoyoke's newest artist Aaryon steps forward and plunges himself straight into the deep end with his debut EP 'Fairy Tales'. Comprising of two originals, a remix from Ran Salman and two remixes from Animal Picnic, this release is sure to leave its mark.

The title track is a solid first release and a fine introduction of things to come from this artist. Possessing an exotic energy and hypnotic vibe, 'Fairy Tales' is driven by a strong momentum, that dominates and pushes you beneath a surface of beats. Deep bassline kicks and thrumming techno vibes are harmoniously laced with intense melodies that genuinely evoke a sense of fairy tale madness.

Ran Salman is next in line to flavour 'Fairy Tales' with his sound and puts forth an edgier, slightly darker version. The intensity is a little more progressive and a smidge dirtier, but it mirrors that exact same drive and momentum from the original. 

Track number three is the Club Edit from Spanish duo Animal Picnic, who are taking up remix duties with Steyoyoke for the first time. Their interpretation of 'Fairy Tales' seems to have more punch and attitude, which definitely boosts 'Fairy Tales' with an added sense of presence.

Their second remix brings soaring key changes, beautiful transitions and smooth basslines. Layers of deep percussion are infused with broody undertones, creating a beautiful platform of warm rich sounds. 

'Chlorine' is Aaryon's second track on the EP and it bares a harsher, sharper quality, then is heard on any of the other tracks on this release. Laden with sparse synth riffs and a bouncy techno jive, this track is both powerful and commanding. It is also another testament to support Aaryon’s talent and skill.

Fusing together the enigma of mythology and their love for music, Animal Picnic and Steyoyoke new comer Aaryon, join forces in creating their latest EP ‘Euphony’. The release consists of three original tracks, which all reflect the harmonious dynamics and creative symmetry that can occur when collaborations such as these are aligned. ’Euphony’ ignites your imagination and fills you with both fascination and nostalgia.
Presenting a concoction of daunting synth lines and beckoning vocals, is the EP’s first track ‘Kymera’. With its undulating basslines and consistent rhythmic flow, ‘Kymera’ is deceptive in its initial vibe of casual complacency. As the track progresses, psychedelic inflictions and atmospheric sweeteners are layered beautifully, to expose the tracks true virtues.

‘Hydra’ is track number two and it offers up a sovereignty of vitality and melodic elegance. It possess a plethora of hard hitting drum layers and delivers exhilarating crescendos that lift and guide you to a place of symphonic contentment. It also boasts some stunning piano sequences that are ornamental in illuminating ‘Hydra’s’ sense of mystification and charm.

The final track on ‘Euphony’ is titled ‘Madara’ and it also follows in the footsteps of the first two tracks and maintains a potency of audio surrealism. It penetrates you with a powerful bass heavy arrangement that is carried on a wave of persistent motion and drive. Couple this with stabbing synths and interludes of vocals that phase in and out during the entire track and you will be left with a lasting sentiment of esoteric bliss.

Chief is very happy to present a new EP by our good German friend DJOKO. The talented producer from Cologne returned with a strong Tech House record. Filled with sharp synth stabs, vocal shots and a stomping groove, this track has all the right elements for your afterhours club night. The remix duties where by David Moran, Murvin Sound, Prune Flat & Stroopwafel. The UK based David Moran made a remix with a sweet raw dub groove, perfect for the underground lovers. From France we got Murvind Sound back on remix duties. His interpretation contains a sold bass groove, accompanied with nice chord stabs and deep organ elements. Dutch resident Prune Flat created a Tech House version with a punchy sub bass. Finally we have a remix by a mysterious delicious Dutch treat, Stroopwafel delivered a groovy remix with some heavy bass action.
