Tracks on '21 Years of Vicious' include Ground Level’s seminal “Dreams Of Heaven” (the label’s first European top 5 club single) right through to Peking Duk’s 2013 breakthrough “The Way You Are”. “Eternal” by Eternal (created by legendary DJ Carl Cox with Mark James & John Course) has a fresh remix from Angger Dimas. Motez delivers a cracking new remix on arguably the most well-known Vicious release to date in Madison Avenue’s “Don’t Call Me Baby”, while current Vicious artist FTampa reinvents Avicii’s “Jailbait”. Other significant inclusions are new mixes of Cabin Crew’s UK Top 5 hit “Star2Fall”, Vandalism & Static Revenger’s “Vegas” as remixed by Reece Low, ARIA Award-winning “Coma” by Melbourne’s original Pendulum and “White Treble, Black Bass” by Sgt Slick. Axwell  & Dirty South’s “Open Your Heart” remixed by Ivan Gough & Jebu and “We Are”, one of Dirty South’s solo hits featuring vocalist Rudy, which is remixed by new Vicious act Skyden are two other significant new remixes.

“Perth” is a prime-example of the Bulgarian producer's unstoppable good times ware. Taken from “Playground”, the three versions here are dripping with grease. Split between the original, a chord mix and a beat version, it’s all you ever wanted from a single. Perfect house music for techno DJs and techno music for disco DJs. Over a 15-year period Truesoul has set the standard for engaging and effective club music, drawing in fans from across the techno spectrum. A relentless dedication to quality means it’s logistically impossible for Adam Beyer to release music from all the impressive artists who send him tracks each year for Truesoul. This EP showcases four such outstanding cuts, all of which have been tried and tested in Beyer’s sets in recent months. Indeed, anyone who witnessed his deliciously groove-ridden daytime set at Sonus Festival in August (or listened via episode DCR370), would have already been treated to an unofficial preview of the release. 

Belgian’s Ramon Tapia kicks the EP off in superb style with ‘Hexagon’, an energetic slice of techno that builds towards a pumping finish. Fast rising Manchester duo OC & Verde team up with Italian producer Veerus for ‘Naaki’, the track highlighted by a rousing call-to-arms vocal that saw it go down a storm during Beyer’s annual gig on the Amnesia Terrace for Cocoon in Ibiza. The beautiful vocal-led ‘Take My Life’ follows courtesy of Spaniard Marc Marzenit, adding an extra dimension to the release, while still having enough percussive fizz to keep the dancefloor moving. Southampton’s Ronnie Spiteri is another emerging talent to create waves in 2017 and he delivers the knockout blow with ‘Sugar Lips’, a chunky soul-infused offering that’ll be effective in house and techno sets alike.

Greco (NYC) delivers yet another raw house masterpiece with South Jamaica, which drops on SOUP NYC alongside a seriously dope remix from Mad Villains. 

NYC based DJ and Producer Greco (NYC) has quickly earned his place within today's thriving dance music scene. Initially learning his craft at Dubspot, he developed a remarkable raw house sound granting him his first record deal with legendary New York label Nurvous Records in 2014. Since then he has gone on to release on a string of A-list labels including MadTech, Toolroom, KMS and most recently Strictly Rhythm. 

His latest comes on US label and party outfit SOUP NYC: a fitting home for an artist with such close musical ties with the city. 

South Jamaica is a raw house cut typical of the style Greco has become know for, with shuffling percussion and chopped vocals perfectly complimenting the star of the show: a heady synth lead that evokes the work of the early US house pioneers.  On the remix, the UK’s Mad Villains caps an exceptional year with an engrossing, bass heavy version, complete with lush pads and stomping bass.
