A new piano sound is here to be explored: the Vertical Concert Grand Klavins M450i. An Everest of sound, a friend commented - she may be right... :-)

Our Una Corda piano has been sampled and is available as a VSTi at Native Instruments - they did a great job, it's fascinating! Also take a look at The Giant from NI, the VSTi of our Model 370 vertical concert grand piano...

Love to express myself on the keyboard now and then, only improvising... sometimes it works out, sometimes not - like real life... :-) Actually I'm a piano builder, not a pianist... ;-)

I'm recording mostly using the Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S88 keyboard, Reaper for DAW, and various Native Instruments sound libraries, sometimes live on the Una Corda.

Wish I had more time to explore all the fine musicians here - it's fascinating, always something new and inspirational to find, within the infinite world of music..!

Please be patient with me in case I'm not replying on your comments short term - I'm extremely busy building pianos... I definitely appreciate your remarks, ideas, suggestions, and will get back to you as I can afford..!

I am John de Bruijn, born in Holland in 1956, since 1972 I'm a songwriter, composer, producer and arranger by the name John Styles, and I recorded several songs within different Projects also with other groups.
I wrote a lot of ballads in the past also for other artists, when i started working within Projects, I started into making background / theme-music for docu's, movies & commercials, and I still do.

For more then 9 years I work together with http://soundcloud.com/matbaker1970, we composed and co-writed together for Themes / Scores / Soundtracks for Films and Docu's, we hope our music might one day be featured in a Film, Docu or Commercial.

Our band: http://soundcloud.com/euphoriqa includes Hemmo ( http://soundcloud.com/age-r ) and Ralf ( http://soundcloud.com/bingzhu ) were making covers for fun, we also compose / write songs, which could be used as soundtracks or themesongs too.
With https://soundcloud.com/quenya-projects we ask other musicians to join us to collab on NewAge, Celtic and Folk / experimental type of music.

I also collaborated with many artists over the years, We found the right way to work together, talking on the phone or skype discussing what or how we want things to be build up, and keep sending tracks back and forth till we're all satisfied.
The nice thing of working into those Projects is that you can help new talents on their way, and working with them also gave me other chances, and I became a allround songwriter / composer within all styles and types of music.
I traveled all over the world to scout for new talents, which made me a more fulfilling person, and I feel rich (not moneywise), being so close to so many cultures I learned so much, and I also make Therapy Music for about 10 years now.

I am very happy that my music helps so many people all over the world, and that I can use my talent to help others, so that my God's given gift can be spread out and touch others, I'm blessed to be able to reach so many hearts and souls.
Music is my drive, without it I wouldn't feel alive, it's also a therapy for me, and luckily my family supports me all the way, that makes me a very happy man, and hopefully you'll be able to hear and sense that within my music, ENJOY my music!!!!!

Caley Trail is a project to explore random elements in sound production. The whole project hopes to make some music along the way. Influences are many, from Sibelius to Dylan through Yes and Floyd and many more in between. 
Trail music attempts to discover where sound can go and what random means in setting.


I work to balance my compositions with a blend of modern synth, organic percussion and unique sample based production vs. world style drum and percussion grooves, guitar and bass. Mixed with a minimal symphonic orchestration, acoustic piano and rare lead tones.

Welcome to my profile and thanks for stopping by. I am fairly new to SoundCloud and I’m excited to be able to start sharing some of my music with you. 

Music has always been a big part of my life with my background being in drum playing for years. I grew up wanting to be a “Rock Star” as a lot of kids in my days wanted to be. Well, that never happened and my music creativity unfortunately became less of a priority as I started down a career path.

Over the years I have developed quite an eclectic taste in music that includes everything from Heavy Metal to Chill Lounge, Deep House to Dubstep and everything that could possibly fit in between it seems. These days I seem to be leaning towards music that makes me want to move up out of my chair and bop around a little bit.

I have recently had the opportunity to try my hand at composing my own pieces and have devoted my time to learning that process along with the tools to accomplish this dream.

I have posted my very first completed piece and really hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did creating it. “Kick’n In the Rain” is an up beat piano/hous-ish type of piece that will hopefully will get a part of you moving or even just maybe make you smile if nothing else.

The instrument I learned first was the cello, later on the piano. In my childhood and youth I took part in several orchestras and choirs. At the age of 17 I started playing in rock bands; in 1989 me and my friend Daniel ("Vocebasso" and "Liedschmied", you find him here) founded the progressive rock band "The Lynx"
(my functions: keyboards, cello, backing vocals, songwriting and arrangement). In the early 90s I became more and more enthusiastic about electronic music and the German broadcast radio show "Schwingungen" with Winfrid Trenkler. With the help of my first synthesizers Kawai K1 and Korg T3 I started to compose tracks. After using the internal sequencers I discovered the possibilities of Cubase. 
Beside my activities in the cover rock band "Silent Sound", several projects I initiated in my function as a teacher for music in a secondary school and the singer- /songwriter project "WortSpiel" (https://www.facebook.com/DuoWortSpiel) I never stopped composing electronic music in the last 20 years. 
My music is most influenced by orchestral music (classic, soundtracks), progressive rock and pop music and - of course - by electronic music. I will never forget, when I was six years old and my brother put on the record "Oxygene IV" by Jean-Michel Jarre. Another track, which gave me magic moments, was "Force Majeure" by Tangerine Dream. The year 1990 meant the final electronic wake-up call, namely in the form of Ron Boots and his great record "Dreamscape". It's one of my favorites to this day.
The themes of my music are generally the nature, journeys and landscapes, personal relations and emotions and - within these associations - often the longing for inner and outer freedom, for the breakout of boundaries and fears. 
Wiesenberg: That's the maiden name of my mother (by trade a vocalist), which refers back to my roots and to the long way, my ancestors took from Salzburg (Austria) through Königsberg / Kaliningrad (Russia) to Rheda-Wiedenbrück (Germany, North Rhine Westphalia). I walked on - through Lower Saxony to Rhineland-Palatinate. Next stop: Who knows? In the end I am an expellee and a hermit - an "eremit".
