We begin our study of Capital, vol. 1 by discussing what it means to read, study, and apply the book as comrades in the struggle for socialism in the U.S. today. We situate our reading within the struggle to not only popularize and give definition to socialism, but to establish Marxism as the guiding theory of struggles. Next, we cover some of the history and context of the book and finally examine the Prefaces and Afterwards by Marx and Engels, we introduce the form, content, methodology, and context of Capital, vol. 1, paying particular attention to Marx’s method of abstraction.

Entry to the Lost Stories "Faking It" Remix Contest

Listening to only the vocals, I re-harmonized them with a chord progression of my own and then built an entire composition from scratch based on that.

Apart from two of the stems and my own sample library, all sound design is original and created using Serum and native post-processing effects in FL Studio 20.

I had a lot of fun making this track! Working with another artist, I learn a lot about myself and others while being given the opportunity to improve and grow as a music producer.
