This is my fourth time crafting sonic magic with our wonderful friend (and exceptional singer and musician) from Derry City, Ireland… Johanna Fegan (soundcloud.com/johanna-fegan, https://jojostar.bandcamp.com, facebook.com/feganjohanna/). And in my humble opinion… it’s our best yet. Haha.

If you haven’t already crossed paths with Johanna, then you missed out on a few of my favorite ‘memorable moments’ from our surreal year in Pandemic Lock-Down. Johanna was kind enough to perform three ‘live from the living room’ streaming concerts (‘Rockin the Lockdown’, if I recall correctly) right as the pandemic hit alarming levels. Truthfully, they helped keep me sane. I needed that to remind me we are not so isolated during trying times. Quite the opposite, in fact. We are all one big planet of friends doing our best to support each other, and offer a bit of positive perspective when we see that others need it most. Johanna (as well as a wonderful number of other creative folks out there) chose to use her efforts to keep the energy climbing ever upward. And sometimes that’s just the message we need… to remember it’s all still good at the core. So thank you for that, Johanna. You are a positive influence, my friend. :)

Back to the song… We had a great time passing the stems back and forth; usually just adding only a handful of new features on each pass. What resulted is this massive joyride of sonic quirkiness that we both utterly adore. I do believe we’ve discovered our perfect stride. 

So without further delay, Johanna Fegan and I joyfully offer you our latest collaborative effort, ‘Beautiful.’ :D

Constantly amazed at what great sounds I hear. Inspired by the quality. Thankful for the many connections. The spirit of community moves me in so many ways.

Making music progressed in 2011 with electronic music and expanded by 2016 to include soundtracks, alt rock, acoustic, funk-style jazz... including a few collaborations & some experimental odds and sods along the way. I try to keep the vision to many horizons and roads to discovery open. :)
