Heute habt ihr auf meiner Facebook-Seite die magische Grenze von 10.000 Fans geknackt und für so viel Support möchte ich euch mit einem kleinen Geschenk aus meiner Vergangenheit danken!

Zusammen reisen wir in der Zeit zu dem Punkt zurück, als das Projekt "Falscher Hase" noch nicht geboren und mir "Facebook" und "SoundCloud" noch keine Begriffe waren. Damals stand zwar schon elektronische, aber dennoch härtere Musik auf meiner Tagesordnung und trotzdem entstand aus der Faszination für schöne Melodien vor fast genau 5 Jahren dieser Mix. Heute vor einem Jahr wählte ich Musik für meinen Mix "Lebenslänglich" aus und einen Tag später ging er online. Die Auswahl folgte keiner bestimmten Logik – nur gefallen musste sie mir. Was danach geschah ist für mich heute noch unglaublich! Auch wenn Zahlen nur Schall und Rauch sind, schrieb ich wenige Wochen später ein paar davon zusammen mit wünschenswerten aber für mich völlig utopischen Zielen auf einen Zettel und legte diesen in meine Schublade.

Die Ziele wollte ich am letzten Tag des Jahres überprüfen. Ich habe nicht daran geglaubt, sie zu erreichen – geschweige denn zu übertreffen. Eingetreten ist jedoch beides. Ich blicke stolz auf das wohl ereignisreichste Jahr meines Lebens zurück und bedanke mich von ganzem Herzen!

Ich danke euch, meinen treuen Fans und Unterstützern, ich danke allen Künstlern, die mich mit ihrer Musik versorgen und mich inspirieren, ich danke allen Clubs & Veranstaltern, die es mir dieses Jahr ermöglicht haben, andere Menschen glücklich zu machen, ich danke allen neuen und alten Freunden sowie meiner Familie dafür, dass ich bin wie ich bin.

Aber besonders danke ich meiner Freundin, die mir jeden Tag zeigt, dass man alles schaffen kann, wenn man hart genug dafür arbeitet und an sich glaubt. Oft erscheinen uns Ziele zu groß und wir uns zu klein, aber in jedem von uns steckt mehr als wir denken!

It's the culmination of what has been a roller coaster debut year: the eponymous debut album by the phenomenal Vienna duo HVOB is a lesson in how versatile, intelligent and creative electronic music can be.

It's been just twelve months since the first snippets appeared on Soundcloud, during which time the young electronic duo HVOB (short for Her Voice over Boys) have been causing a real stir throughout Europe: "… this is what deep house sound should sound like. Pure love …" (hmwl.org, Sweden), "… sure to be spoken about …" (delicieuse-musique.com, France), "More please, and soon!" (thegap.at, Austria), "… sleek and beautifully crafted beats …" (electronicbeats.net, Germany). 

HVOB have been a hit with the most influential music blogs and with the public: acclaimed appearances at the likes of Germany’s MELT! Festival, number 4 in the Beatport Deep House charts with their debut EP "Dogs", number 10 in the Top Live Acts of the Year and number 11 in the Best Singles of 2012 in DE:BUG’s readers' poll. At the end of 2012, leading Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab used HVOB's music for the soundtrack of his collection video.

Vienna-born Anna Müller (composition, production, vocals) and Paul Wallner (composition and final production) are kicking off the second year of their collaborative project with another release, only this time with more than just tantalising snippets: their eagerly anticipated debut LP, "HVOB", released March 8, contains twelve tracks that showcase the duo's distinctive sound – intelligent and sophisticated, emotive and melodic. 

The opening track "Hold Your Horses" could be a signature tune for HVOB: organic beats, soft piano sounds and Anna Müller's stunning voice give way to compelling deep house. Further highlights of the album: scheduled for release in February, the single "Jack" with its emotive beats, the complex electronic ballad "Fog Machine", and "Always Like This", HVOB's interpretation of the track by British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club.

HVOB, who on stage perform live and with a drummer, are planning a European tour after the album's release. Venues will include: Paris (as part of Paris Fashion Week), Berlin, Zurich; further information: www.hvob-music.com
