Hope Street 
Written in 2019, this came out of me immediately after my cousin committed suicide.  For decades it seems like wave after wave of celebrities taking their lives and then when it hits home, something else sinks in.  

Depression is a beast!  I have suffered a mild version of the monster my entire life, and when it takes hold, it can consume you.  My cousin and I weren't close but I loved him just the same.  

His loss, at such a beautiful young age, is something that continues to haunt me.  The impact on our family and the fear are planted as I look into the eyes of my children and pray that they don't suffer the same as so many others.
