Epic Down is a duo from Leipzig, Germany dedicated to the sluggish grooves and lumbering riffs of sludge & doom, started in 2021 by Mitzschi (guitar(s)/bass) and Fabian (drums/vocals).
Influenced by primal doom, drone and stoner, the sound of Epic Down is mainly characterized by solid downtempo grooves and rolling walls of guitars, complemented by slightly melancholic vocals.

With the release of their first EP "Equinox Pt1" and it’s sequel "Equinox Pt2" in 2023, the band stepped into the light of publicity.
After signing to Argonauta Records the band was able to celebrate the release of „days of oblivion“ as their debut album in fall 2024.

I'm currently a solo song-writer, also open to collaboration. I try not to pin myself into any particular genre, but hard rock and quirky/progressive stuff tends to be what I gravitate to most, listening-wise. Influences include Rush, Billy Joel, Queens of the Stone Age, and Alter Bridge, and Devin Townsend to name a few, but I can appreciate most any type of musical style. If any of my stuff catches your interest, and/or you might want to try collaborating on something, don't be afraid to leave a comment and/or message me.
