"I am beyond humbled to present Planetary Medicine, my first full-length album. Composed over the last three years in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, this LP is, for me, a testament to the healing power of music. Each song and meditation is encoded with frequencies designed to heighten conscious vibrations. Some tracks are representations of my mental visions, translated into soundscapes; others began as experiments in sampling and sound design and blossomed outward from there. Each track holds a special place in my heart and I am forever grateful to the planetary muse that guides this project..

The man Duffrey posted a challenge in the [Synthesis.Audio](http://Synthesis.Audio) group. Pick one of your earliest childhood memories and create an ambient track in three hours. The idea is to write down a description of the memory, and then create sounds to match.  Take those sounds and compose them in an ambient style. 

I chose a memory of my first time driving through the Mojave Desert. I was about 4 years old, so I only have bits and pieces. It was late, I just woke up from a nap in my car seat. I had a lot of energy, and was fascinated by the sensation of rolling along the hills.

The stars were out, the sky was awake. I could see the expansiveness of the desert and the space between the sparse clouds and the bright night sky. There was a very deep navy blue hue to it, clashing with the deep red of the distant jagged rocks. I was filled with wonder, marveling at the vastness of it all and the beauty that laid before me. I tried my best to replicate that in this track

Govinda has been continuously redefining and rebranding itself. After revisiting this project a myriad of times to ensure absolute perfection, Govinda presents Burning Rings of Helios, now out on Gravitas Music. This seven-track album has been Shane’s favorite project to produce thus far, as it traverses different realms of gypsy violin and dives into new inspiration stemming from circus arts. The beats are soft and subtle, yet abrasive and envelope crushing to take Burning Rings of Helios unexpected places while still staying true to Govinda.

Listeners are greeted by a mysterious violin in “CObra STyle” before encountering an upbeat, gypsy dubtronica soundscape that is composed of several twists and turns. The journey proceeds to meet the “Goblin King,” who welcomes visitors with piercing melodic vocals that accompany soothing strings and an abundance of glitch. “Inside Your World” explores the dark and haunting depths of exotic bass, with bewitching vocals that urge listeners to continue the designated path. A sultry violin fluidly glides through the sharp cosmic atmosphere, which causes eyes to wander into “Nebulous Space.” Once consciousness returns, a muted trumpet in “Smokey Memories” attempts to defog hazy recollections in a mellow blues. Soon after, live instrumentation is employed in “Bent Cipher” to distribute a gratifying electronic jazz punch. As the pilgrimage comes to an end, assorted elements featured in preceding tracks are incorporated to tie up the project into a “Twisted” finale.

This record is very meaningful to me. This is a trip down memory lane. Bringing us back to the old days. This music has nostalgic properties that make us think of the more simple times.  In a time where the country is more divided than ever, it’s important to all come together for a greater purpose and celebrate life. This record brings future funk and electro soul to the next level, bringing PA back towards the beginning days where melody and layers conquered all with a sprinkle of bass of course.
