Our next international podcast, @the-revolving-eyes, is by a DJ and producer from Belgium, and the key figure behind Moderne Recordings. His project (along with Zoopsie), The Revolving Eyes, draws from a diverse range of influences, blending the infectious groove of disco with experimental electronic, avant-garde industrial, and the dreamy textures of shoegaze. This combination results in a bold, energetic sound that merges LoFi-tech, funky weirdness, emo-punk, and more, all infused with a raw DIY attitude. The "Retrofuturism EP" by Zobol is a release that looks back nostalgically while also looking ahead, invoking bygone visions of the future. It includes five unique tracks that vary from lively and vigorous to tranquil and reflective. Each piece is a narrative voyage, delving into various facets of Electro and Braindance. Created with a blend of analog and digital equipment and augmented by contemporary production methods, it embodies the essence of Retrofuturism. Norbert Thunder @norbert-thunder⚡ is an Electro-Techno / EBM / Electroclash producer and liveact performer. If there would be a term "Glampunk to the bone", then he would fulfill the term pretty much. His sound is an avantgarde and rebellious glam fueled elegant and dirty Electro-Techno, just think about the aesthetics and visual dominance of the early 2000s electroclash era. Although he is lived the electroclash period completely in the early 2000s, visited so many great parties in between 2002-2005 with acts like David Carretta, Anthony Rother, Dj. Hell, Alter Ego, Green Velvet, Tiga, T. Raumschimere or John Starlight, his debut 12" EP called "Fembot Actress" is just released at the end of 2022, on the quality french techno label ParTouT rec., where there such names released previously, like Juan Atkins, Orlando Voorn, Chris Korda, or -=UHU=-.

The EP's lead track "Fembot Actress", and the track from the B side of the EP called "Groove, Style, Lights, Euphoria" were quite huge club hits and festival favourites during the years 2022 and 2023, played by a few established and great deejays, like Omar at Houghton 2022, or Binh at Surreal Park Brazil. He released another 12" vinyl recently at the spring of 2024, called "Leather In Outer Space EP, on the London based great EYA Records label".

It took only one time seeing Anthony Rother perform live for Mr. Dillinger to become completely obsessed with the idea of playing to a crowd without turntables (it was on a DVD and not even in-person: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5x8Rmd71Ro). He’d seen many live acts before as a student of the underground in Detroit and was already a DJ at the time, but something about seeing Rother’s mystique switched on a light that could not be turned off. That idea took nearly 14 years to become reality, but he finally unveils his first ever live PA exclusively for @DarkScienceElectro. 

Starting as an Electro/breaks DJ in 2000, and then continuing into production in 2010 he has finally started to find his stride this year. Francois Dillinger’s 2019 releases appear on @elektrodos, @blindallies, @naturalsciences, @ukonx, @dionysian-mysteries, and a full-length album on @narrowgauge. 2020 already has a slew of releases scheduled, including a second full-length album.
