Following on from the fantastic impact of their first release under their new in-house imprint, Hybrid Theory are back at it again in double quick fashion, readying their weaponry for another sumptuous two track delight as we unveil the ‘Loco’ EP.  Formed from a pair of powerful bassline originals, this second project from the HT camp is an excellent example of consistent quality, as they follow up their debut release in style. 

Firstly, we take a dive into the vibrant arrangements of the title track ‘Go Loco’. This one is a seriously number, moving from a stripped back introduction into a super choppy breakdown, decorated with horn-like synthesizers and bulbous bass tones, perched above an array of impactful drum designs to set off the EP in style. 

On the flip side, we see the Hybrid Theory boys take their production down a slightly different direction as ‘AWOL’ is brought into play. This one begins with a more extensive introduction, beginning with simple drums, unfolding into a dizzying crescendo of violent synthesizer belches and authoritative sub-bass tones pulsating below.  

As a pairing these two sparky originals are again a fantastic showcase of the Hybrid Theory sound, constantly evolving and moving forward alongside an ever expanding UK Bass scene.

Hybrid Theory are a DJ and Production duo from the cultural hub of the midlands, Birmingham. They have been blazing the UK Bass scene in style since they started now infamous Four40 imprint in 2010.

These guys have taken the UKBass scene by storm with their duty ghost warps, snappy saw’s and the heavy broken beat patten is the winning combination for these guys.

For the Hybrid boys appearances on Diplo's Mad Decent and Norman Cook's Southern Fried Records followed cementing their foothold in the scene as tastemakers in high demand. The guys were most notable so far seeing the release of their much anticipated EP on Champion's genre-bending Formula Records. In 2015 brand new releases will drop first on Jakwob's Boomting Recordings, These guys have a foothold in the music seen now collaborating with some of the top artists in the world. The collaboration with Stanton Warriors had a huge effect on the American breaks music scene, witch lead the guy’s to a 5 state American tour from LA to New York. Not to mention traveling across Europe, to destinations like Germany, Sweeden, Amsterdam, Belguim, Italy, plus many more.

If this kind of output wasn't enough Hybrid have been working tirelessly on preparations for a host of Guest-mixes for BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra following enthusiastic support on the BBC, RINSE FM and KISS, from the likes of Monki, DJ Target, MistaJam, Sian Anderson, Annie Nightingale, TODDLA-T and more (Not to mention other scene heavyweights like DIPLO, ETON MESSY, DJ EZ and ONEMAN)
