A UKG masterclass designed for peaktime vibe moments with a dangerous second drop, 'Speedy Gs' has been a highlight of both artists' sets all through 2022 — getting pull-ups worldwide (but mostly Yorks and Manchester). U know the drill!

Following on from the excitement of his long awaited return to the Southpoint team, Bushbaby is once again back at it on the production front, this time diving into a more garage-driven lane with a vibrant new roller entitled 'M1 Impulse' for us to enjoy.

He was only ever going to return in style as 'M1 Impulse' gives us a sumptuous sweep into the modernised garage sound, fusing classic, nostalgia-inducing organ chords with hard hitting 4x4 drum banks in spectacular fashion. With the success of 'Woman's Touch' a few years ago, this is an area of dance music that few in the business are able to contend with Bushbaby on, and it shows with the quality of this fantastic new single.

With more heavyweight rollers in the pipeline and a highly anticipated full scale return in 2023, the future looks extremely exciting for the Southpoint veteran.

It’s been a pretty spectacular start for Hybrid Theory’s brand new self-titled label, having notched up three very well received two track projects in a pretty short space of time. So far we have seen the Birmingham based duo showcase a pretty wide spectrum of bass music from around the UK and beyond, with this latest addition to the catalogue continuing that theme with three more belters.  

We kick off this project with a dive into the title track ‘Move Slow’, something very different from anything previously released on the HT imprint. The pair sweep this one down a more mellow route from the off, combining pleasing chord plucks and keys with a catchy vocal tone, squeezed between tidy old school garage style drumwork and moody substructures below.  

Next, collaboration season opens up as Snipez joins the party on ‘Teen Cheer’. This one again takes us down a much more garage inspired route, gluing together groovy melodic twists and pulsating 2-steppy rhythms to gift us an absolute gem in any DJ’s selection.  

Finally, we round the EP off with ‘No Way’, the perfect sign off. For this one, the Hybrid boys bring in the sounds of Martin Green to turn the clock back with a seriously nostalgic UKG twist up. The drums are catchy, the grooves are playful and the overall vibe is just a joy to take in.  

The garage influences throughout this one are very clear, again showcasing Hybrid Theory’s incredible versatility within dance music!

Hybrid Theory are a DJ and Production duo from the cultural hub of the midlands, Birmingham. They have been blazing the UK Bass scene in style since they started now infamous Four40 imprint in 2010.

These guys have taken the UKBass scene by storm with their duty ghost warps, snappy saw’s and the heavy broken beat patten is the winning combination for these guys.

For the Hybrid boys appearances on Diplo's Mad Decent and Norman Cook's Southern Fried Records followed cementing their foothold in the scene as tastemakers in high demand. The guys were most notable so far seeing the release of their much anticipated EP on Champion's genre-bending Formula Records. In 2015 brand new releases will drop first on Jakwob's Boomting Recordings, These guys have a foothold in the music seen now collaborating with some of the top artists in the world. The collaboration with Stanton Warriors had a huge effect on the American breaks music scene, witch lead the guy’s to a 5 state American tour from LA to New York. Not to mention traveling across Europe, to destinations like Germany, Sweeden, Amsterdam, Belguim, Italy, plus many more.

If this kind of output wasn't enough Hybrid have been working tirelessly on preparations for a host of Guest-mixes for BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra following enthusiastic support on the BBC, RINSE FM and KISS, from the likes of Monki, DJ Target, MistaJam, Sian Anderson, Annie Nightingale, TODDLA-T and more (Not to mention other scene heavyweights like DIPLO, ETON MESSY, DJ EZ and ONEMAN)
