In this example I run three instances of Ableton's Wavetable synth in parallel and map them to different velocity ranges so that I can create an evolving soundscape based on how hard or soft I play. 
The interesting fact here is that I can create a different timbre for each note of a chord by giving each of them a separate velocity value.

Her passion for music began in childhood, having grown up in a family deeply rooted in sound production. She spent much of her time in her parents’ recording studio, where she developed a sharp ear for rhythms and textures.
At just 15, Angie started to experiment with Djing, eventually honing her skills across various subgenres of techno including raw, old school, minimal, hypnotic and Detroit Techno.

Her sound is mostly known as deep driving grooves, heavy basslines, and hypnotic energy that Captivates listeners from the underground.

She gained international attention in 2023 at the age of 16 where she finished 2nd at the Amnesia Ibiza Global DJ search, since then she has been performing across several clubs around Europe, known for her powerful and dynamic sets that blend classic techno roots with modern innovation.

One of her standout projects is her Friday techno radio show on beats2dance.com, every Friday from 20:00 to 21:00 CET, playing the latest techno from producers all over the world in a 1hour mix. It’s favorite among techno lovers streaming online, at SoundCloud, apple post casts with a 20k plus fanbase every week.

Through her creative energy, technical precision, and dedication to techno, Angie Alfarez continues to shape and elevate the genre’s landscape

Sound Designer, Sound Engineer, and Eclectic Electronic Music DJ/Producer from Italy. 

My main focus as an artist is what I like to call 'Cinematic Bass Music,' a mix of influences from deep, dark cinematic soundtracks and heavy underground bass music, with special attention on sound design and sonic explorations.

HydraTek is the name that summarizes my artistic vision:
'Hydra' recalls the mythology and is epitomized by an aggressive, distinctive sound that’s become my signature in both sound design projects and electronic music productions;
’Tek’ is about my continuous research for high-tech and futuristic sonic explorations, trying to push
electronic music forward to explore new frontiers.

The different 'heads' of the hydra are a metaphor for my eclecticism. The two polarities in the name can sometimes be found in a harsh contrast between delicate, emotive melodies and twisted, abrasive basslines.

With a strong influence and passion for modern film soundtracks, I strive to provide a concept and storytelling inside my music, even inside club-oriented tracks.

My current production style involves a combination of Dark Techno with a distinct cinematic influence, in which I like to insert melodic, emotional, deep, and a hint of brighter elements.
